Avatar forums? Psh, make your own!

So Biffle asked me how to make avvies so he could be my assistant. So I made a lovely tutorial for him. How sweet! And it was on Valentine's day too.
I decided to share it with the rest of ya'll! Hope you find it helpful. *shrug*

Step 1: Choose a picture to make into an avatar and load it onto Photobucket. You'll need an account for this, but it's free and very useful. I've chosen the 'Chimera' drawing I did a while ago. Whoot Whoo! Bring it into full screen and click 'Edit' up the top of it. The bar should appear when you put your mouse near there.



Step 2: All sillyness aside, this is what it should look like. Do you see the 'Crop' button up the top? Click that.



Step 3: Drag the cursor over the part of the image you want most into a rough square shape. Doesn;t have to be perfect, just close enough!



Step 4: Click onto the next tab - 'Effects' - and do whatever you want with the pic! I've inverted it - how hawt does that look?!



Step 5: Click on the 'Decorate' tab and add text by clicking the text button. A window will pop up when you do this.



Step 6: Change the colour of the text, the text's background colour and the background shape however you please!



Step 7: When done, click if you want on the Stickers button and add stickers!



Step 8: Drag them where ever, but be artistic! This is your avvie! On the next tab, there are animated stickers you can add though some stickers on the other tab are animated too. I've added some awesome stars!



Step 9: At the top of the 'Basic' tab, you'll see a resize button. Click that.



Step 10: Change the biggest side's size to 100.



Step 11: The text may not be big enough to read so change the size, and maybe the background and font too until you can see it easily. Fool around with everything.



Step 12: When you're done and happy with your avvie, scroll down to the bottom of the page where you'll see a snazzy 'Save a Copy' button. Click that.



Step 13: Ta-da! Now all you have to do is save it onto your computer (save it as a Gif file) and load onto YWS! Congrats!

That was so helpful Durrie! And it was actually fun to make an avvie, especially when one is as bored as I. So, here it is. My first and exceptionally simple avvie!

Yeah, the tutorial was awesome. That said, I still prefer yours, so I'll be changing back once I know you've seen this.
