Xan

Xan's character was a little late, as if maybe his set had a glitch. He chose the username he thought would suit him best, as well as the coolest avatar he could find.

As he became his avatar he reached up and patted his ears. His smile literally took over his face. When Xan ran into the other's he was skipping.

He arrived behind them in time to here, "-Monster killing awaits!"

Xan didn't care. He was already having too much fun.

" Hey Xan," I squealed," we get to kill monsters!" I waved my staff around and accidently made it stream lava from the end if it. Several people ducked and I put my head down smiling wearily," Oops." Theria started walking north and I follow.
" What if the monsters are above our level," Leo asked, starring up at the sky.
" We kick their as harder," Xan was still doing flips when he talked. I rolled my eyes and continued floating above Leo's head.
" We just try our best," Theria whispered, throwing a sideways glance at Xan.
The village looked horrid! Fire was set to some of the huts and debris was everywhere. I gasped and pulled Scruffy, my recently named panda, to my chest and covered his eyes. People were laying on the ground, beat up and wailing for help.
" Woah." I don't recall who spoke, but 'woah' was right.

I could smell the death on the air, feel the blood flowing through the veins of the wounded. Well i am a vampire, i thought, maybe i should put them out of there misery. I knelt down by a young man who was bleeding heavily from a chest wound.
"Hey, um, excuse me sir. What happened? What did this to you?" I asked.
"Goblins, horde of goblins." He coughed. Goblins, i thought, how original.
"Dulce et decorum est, pro patri emori." I quoted the soldiers prayer and leand forward as if to whisper before sinking my fangs into his neck.
"Demon," he gurgled cloudy eyed as he died.
"Guys," i smiled, oddly buoyed up by my first feed. "It's goblins. A horde of goblins."
"Well then lets get on with it!" Laughed Riley. As we wandered the city looking for goblins i noticed a peculiar sight. Two goblins with there heads caved in and the body of what i guessed was a blacksmith. I felt something strange within me. A strange compulsion to bring this fine man back as some sort of undead stooge.

Lyric - ArchAngel

"Are you an angel?" a man whispered as we walked by. This town had been ravaged by goblins. I would have loved to see it in it's heyday. It would of been beautiful. But we had a mission. The man was dying and he looked at me somewhat expectantly. I raised my eyebrow.

Make him feel better, you have time.
My guardian whispered. She turned into a white dove and landed on his shoulder. I nodded, catching on, and gave him a nice little illusion to last him until he died.

"Dude, Lyric, are you now the saviour of the dying or something?" Kris asked. He wiped blood off his face. Okay then... My guardian hissed at his. His guardian brandished a claw back at mine.

As we reached the outskirts of the village, the damage became much clearer. Farm animals lay on their side, dead and their carcasses ripped up, and the barns were semi burnt.

The next thing I heard was loud rip and then a yell. A horde of goblins appeared, out of the dead bodies of the cows, the horses, the goats and the other animals. Covered with blood, they charged towards us.

" Gah," I waved my staff in front of me, causing it to spout lava and take down some of the goblins. Scruffy jumped off my shoulders and launched hisself at one of the goblins, succesfully clawing his face off. Quite litterally I might add.
" Oh shit," Xan yelled, throwing hisself into battle. Kris and Leo followed behind him. I turned to the dying townspeople and jumped when Theria laid a hand upon my back.
" We've gotta help them, Ria. We can't just let them-" I shook my hand and closed my eyes. Scruffy nudged my leg with his nose.
" I know," Theria whispered. I started towards one of the townspeople. She was moaning and writhing in pain. Her body was seeping blood and one of her limbs was a few inches away from her. I swallowed harshly.
" We can't help then," Scruffy said with geniune sadness in his voice. He pulled me towards the goblins. I sucked in a blood tinged breath and ran towards the swarm of goblins. I jabbed the pointer end of my staff into one's stomach before blasting through him with lava.
" Harsh much?" I smiled at Xan's comment and raised myself into the air. And with that I became the lava/fire/rock air force, and Scruffy, my main panda, was busy ripping faces.

I was about to reprimand my guardian for assaulting Lyric when the goblin horde burst forth. Without another thought i hefted my hammer and charged into the fray. I swung my hammer and smirked at the sickening crunch as it made contact with a face. The steady hum of swinging hammer and the thuds of of contact being made with different body parts. Between all of us we should have made short work of the horde but they seemed to be multiplying.
"Guys this isn't working!" Shouted Lyric.
"There must be an objective, something we need to do to end this." I yelled, remembering much of the game stereotypes.
"He's right. There is always a objective at times like this. Over there, that funny looking rock altar thing. Am i the only one who has noticed its glowing?" Replied Riley.
I could see faitnly what he meant but not how we would fight our way through.
"Guys cover me, there is something i want to try." I called out to no one in particular and ran back toward the blacksmith. The blood of the recently dead smelled like roses and instead of fighting i gave into the urge and satisfied my strange hunger. When i finifhed i felt strong, an odd throbbing power in my veins. I spotted the blacksmith again and held up my hands.
"Rise, return from the beyond and do my bidding." It sounded overly theatrical even to me but it had the desired effect. With a droned out moan he rose to his feet, his eyes still empty and lifeless. I pointed to the horde and spoke with a voice oddly filled with power.
"Make us some room." Again the thing that inhabited a corpse obeyed silently, simply hefting a hammer and smashing a hole in the throng.
"Run. Now!" I yelled. I stood back to back with the corpse minion, the strange strength i had gained from "feeding" lending me enough power to hold them back.

Leo - Spectre

As the goblins surged towards Kris and his undead minion, and the rest of the group dodged and ducked, making their way towards the altar, Leo realised two things. One, that Mikael and the blacksmith wouldn't hold long enough, and two, that his magic was for the living, anyway. He'd be little actual use on the altar.

Lashing out with his knife, he stabbed a goblin trying to sneak attack the blacksmith. Kris glanced at him, somewhat surprised, before turning back and sending another goblin flying through the air with that hammer. "What're you doing? You're meant to be helping the others with the altar!"

Leo cut open his own hand, coaxing a thick looking trail of blood out into the air. "I'm more use against these guys." He said, before sending the blood shooting towards one of the goblins like a whip. It coiled around the creature, and began to constrict, draining it of its strength and lending it to Leo. When the whip released its victim, the goblin simply collapsed.

Using some of the energy he'd obtained from killing the creature, Leo was able to partially heal his hand. The rest he directed at a knot of goblins, raising his hand and sending a ball of pale blue flames into them. It vanished instantly, leaving the goblins unharmed, but they were driven into a wild frenzy, hacking and chopping at everything around them - which happened to be exclusively goblins, given the relative positioning of everyone else.

I shot out a steady flow of rocks at the alter. Fire did nothing to it but polish it.
" This is not working," I groaned.
" Just keep trying," Xan grunted, attacking the rock," it'll have to give up sooner or later." Frustrated I raised a crater size rock from the ground and threw it at the alter. It cracked, but it didn't break.
" Yeah, that's good Riley," Theria shouted," keep doing that." I raised the rock again and positioned it above the alter.
" Be careful," Scruffy warned," don't hit ure teamates." I nodded and banged the rock on the alter over and over again. More cracks, no breaks. I rolled my eyes.
" Why won't this thing break?" I shot lava into the cracks, maybe that would loosen it up. Exhausted I put the rock down, that thing was a super heavy brain strain. Xan and Theria were pounding at the alter, I walked up to it and beat it with my staff until my magic points recovered.

"Hey ware's Lisa? Shouldn't she be helping?" said Lyric.

As soon as she said that I jumped out and karate-chopped one of the goblins. "I have been helping!" I said. "Ninja, invisible, duh!"

"Yeah, duh!" says me guardian.

"Hey, just because I'm smug doesn't mean you have to be." I tell him. "Though thank you for agreeing with me." I added.

"Okay, you're a ninja, fine. Now are you still going to help?"

I bunched another goblin. "Dose that answer it for you? Hey Riley! Is that rock open yet?"

"Almost!"

"Come on guys, get that thing open already!" I yelled. As i good as my character, his minion and the various others were, our levels were just too low to keep this up much longer. Soon a red line of text appeared on my screen.

I gathered all my energy and removed a giant rock from the ground. Little beads of sweat dotted my brow as I slowly moved it over the alter.
" Back up," I grunted. Theria and Xan ran back and I let the rock drop. The alter cracked with an ear splitting stone-grinding-on-stone nosie and I collapsed to the ground.
" Got it," I panted. My magic was gone. Stamina was effaced. I sighed, at least I still had my health. I watched from the ground as the goblins dissapered.
" Woot," Xan yelled running over to me," we did it! High five." I smiled and wearily shook my head no.
" I'll be high-fiving you in my mind."

"Tha..than..thank you." I panted, my stamina bar litterally a hairs breadth from causing me to pass out. I heard a thump from behind me and turned to see the blacksmiths corpse lying, dead once again in the dirt. A red pool seemed to be flowing from a series of nicks and tears in his torso.
Blood, i thought hungrily, then a strange smell hit me.
"Yuck," i coughed stepping back. "Bad blood." I took a deep breath and settled myself.
"So, whats next gang?"
