When I have writers block or if i need some inspiration. I listen to music , usually synthpop and 80's synth music. Ill think of something to write about in about ten minutes. I think it works because music evokes powerful thoughts and feelings within the soul. I write about these feelings and experiences and my work means alot more to me. So when people read your work, its not just work , its a window into your soul.
Hey, welcome ^^ I love seeing how people can be inspired by music but I find it very difficult to write with music in my head. Or rather I find it difficult to write prose or poetry. If there's music on and I have a pen in my hands it has to be to write lyrics. An interesting tip though!
No. What your supposed to do is. First of all listento your music. Then while you do think about the sound, the instruents how it makes you feel.afterwards pick up a pen and scribble any words that come to mind. Thanks for your comment and i hope it helps!
