Dear Mimi,

I don't know what is happening anymore! One second I am sitting on the floor to my room the next I am being kidnapped and held for ransom. It all went to fast; from the shattering of my window, the screaming from my mother as she tried to pull the masked men off of me and then the gun shot.
I am surprised I am even alive and breathing. They have taken most of my clothes from me and locked me in the dingy cellar filled with stale potatoes and cobwebs lining the walls. I thought they were going to kill me, no, I was certain they were going to kill me. I am surprised they haven’t yet, maybe they were just thinning me up before they blew a bullet threw my skull.
My name is Prin; I am seventeen year old girl and have already seen my fair amount of bloodshed for a life time. I can hear them outside my cellar; the sound of their hard foot falls and gruff voices contemplating what to do with me. Rape me. Kill me. Torture me. All of those things have been considered, each of them giving me deathly nightmares. They haven't tried to rape me yet or hurt me they leave me in here to starve feeding on raw potatoes till my stomach swells and I am forced to spew up the raw vegetable.
The small piece of paper I steal from the little grey mouse under the largest sack of potatoes to write on is the only thing that keeps me sane through the brutal nights. I haven’t seen my captives yet though I know the time is coming soon. They speak of a boss who is coming from far away to see me, I don’t know who it is but I can only trust my bruised gut and know that it is not going to be good.
It all started four days ago when I was in my bedroom reading my favourite book from when I was younger, I thought nothing could possibly go wrong. I was doing well in school, I wasn’t dating keeping that for when I was older like my mother and father suspected and I obeyed every rule given to me...I didn’t think anything would bring me down but I was wrong, dead wrong.
I sat on the hard floor, the thick stiff covered book was held tightly in my hands as I read the words rhythmically to the air around me. My stuffed elephant sat next to me as if eager to hear the ending to “Alice in Wonderland”. I tried to change my voice for the different characters dropping and raising it for whenever I have to. It was almost funny. I could see my mother father walking across the hallway in front of my door as the packed for our trip to Hawaii.
"Are you packed Prin?" My father called from the door knocking on the hard wood. I grunted a response my heart faltering as I lied to him. I hated lying, my mother had always said the truth sets you free and my father would always laugh at her choice in words. If only I hadn’t lied and went to help them with packing, maybe I would be dead with them instead of being cooped in this old, mould covered cellar.
"Great Kiddo" He replied walking off, the sound of his boots hitting the floor echoed in the hallway. I began to read again my heart jolting against my chest as I contemplated going to help my father. Shrugging it off I began to read more loudly trying to focus on the story. As I read I heard something on the roof crash over the ceramic tiles. I blinked up towards the ceiling pouting my lips in fear.
"Just your imagination" I shook my head staring back down at the book. I heard it again this time louder; I groaned staring yet again to the ceiling.
“Mum what is on the roof...” My words were cuts short as the sound of a bullet being fired from the throat of a large gun wrung through my ears. Throwing myself to my feet I screeched at the sound. My door crashed open my mother’s worried face stared back at me. Blood streaked her face a small wound on the top of her head. She rushed towards me slamming the door shut with a flick of her elegant wrist.
"Run!" She screamed fearfully. I turned towards the window; I could hear hurried footsteps coming up the stair case. Grabbing at the ledge of the white window; the paint falling off the sill, I wrenched it upwards the cold air flooding into the room licking at my face.
"In here!" A deep voice yelled. The door crashed open, tall haunting figures stood in the door way their faces hidden by black masks.
"Grab the girl" A voice shouted piercingly in the background.
"No please!" My mother was suddenly in front of me pushing me fretfully towards the window. I couldn't move as fear took a hold of my body, my feet were frozen in place.
"Move Lady or we'll send a bullet through you heart just like your husband"
"I won't let you lay a finger on my daughter" she rushed towards them roaring. The tallest one raised his gun pointing it at my mother. He smirked before pulling the trigger back; I heard the sound of the bullet cracking through my mother’s head the feeling of her warm blood splattering over my body as I cried out in dismay.

I watched as my mother fell towards the ground, her large brown eyes were wide as she gasped her last breath of air. I couldn't move my legs frozen my heart skipping a beat. When they picked me up to take me away I could only let them, the shock and realisation of my mothers luke warm blood running down my face was all too real. I wish now I had reacted and just gone with them freely when they had asked, maybe my mother wouldn’t be dead and her dry blood still over my clothes and body.
I could hear the familiar voices of my captive outside the cellar door; their thick black books hid the light coming from the other side of the wooden door.
"Grab her” a deep voice ordered “the boss wants to see this wench!" The door flung back revealing a brawn man, a dark green masks covering his features.

Oh my gosh, :thud: this is sooo good! It's really exciting, couldn't take my eyes off the story. Can't wait to read on and see why the girl is taken captive and not killed. I love the fact that its in diary form. I found some mistakes like:
It all went to fast;
you used the wrong 'to'. Also some sentences are a bit wordily awkward. But you definately have a great writing style. The way you describe things is straight to the point but it also is specific which puts an image in the reader's head. The way you went back in time to tell the story from the beginning was great because if you had of started the story off from the start (where she was reading the book) it wouldn't be anywhere near as gripping as th start you had. I also think you had a really believable girl character which is great considering your a guy. Don't know if you've read the Ellie Chronicles or the Tomorrow Series by John Marsden but it kind of reminds me of that which is good- i love those books. I can't believe your only 14 great job! Keep it up. :smt003

Dear Mimi,

I don't know what is happening anymore! This sounds a little to frantic/dramatic for her to be writing on a piece of paper. One second I am sitting on the floor to my room, the next I am being kidnapped and held for ransom. I can hear them outside my cellar; the sound of their hard foot falls and gruff voices contemplating what to do with me. Rape me. Kill me. Torture me. All of those things have been consideredconsidered is slightly weird. How about "All of those things have been giving me nightmares.", each of them giving me deathly nightmares.
This sounds weird. Because, if you steal a small piece of paper, how would you write a lot. What do you use to write? Why would you steal it from the mouse? I haven’t seen my captives yet though I know the time is coming soon. They speak of a boss who is coming from far away to see me, I don’t know who it is but I can only trust my bruised gut and know that it is not going to be good.

Overall: It's good. You need to take care of typos. There are also a few grammatical errors, mainly your commas. Reread what you've written a few times as if you're reading it out. Note pauses. You'll need to insert commas/ whatever appropriate there.
It still is good; you just need to edit and work on this a little more before continuing to the next part.

Keep Writing,

This is very good. I didn't notice any typos. Another person caught that you used the wrong to. But that is very easy to do, even if you have a spell check on you computer, it would have missed it too.

I am off to read the second one.

Make a reason why they were after your main character. Maybe the parents were spies and they were actually planning on fleeing the country when the girl was kidnapped. (Maybe that is what you are already planning to do, and I am just jumping the gun.)

Hey,

Funny I had just written a kidnapping diary thing a couple weeks ago. Mine was kinda based off the Amy SMart kidnapping because she had a diary that she kept. I was actaully just thinking about posting it a couple hours ago :). Anyway, this was really good and very descriptive. Questions:

If she only had a small scrap of paper from the rat how could she be writing all of this?

If her mother had blood running down her face I would assume that she got shot in the head. If she got shot in the head she would be dead. So....what?

Not many stories are as well described as this one. Good Job
