i was once a sweet-natured girl, whose curious mind wanted to know what it is that people called LOVE..

and then one thing led to another, and the sweet girl they once knew was GONE.

i became
reticent and unforthcoming,
reserved from the people around,
because i really don't know
who to trust...

and yes, i was
once a happy and outgoing innocent girl,
until i met that almost-perfect boy, who
took my heart away,
and then my whole life changed...

Hi Telle!

So I shall take a look at this picture.
1.I really like the choice of bright hues for something titled 'Lonely.' It makes a refreshing change. So basically, I love the way you have edited this.
2.For some weird reason, I seem to like her slippers, and the way it strikes out in the picture.
3.I didn't like that you didn't quite get her face at all. It's covered by hair, yes, but maybe as a viewer we should be allowed a slightly larger glimpse of the face.

Overall, it's a good picture. I would suggest you to try various angles as this is sort of "the" pose for sadness/loneliness.

Cheers,
~Lava.

This may seem weird but when I review art I look for mystery, and that's why I love yours!
Hi I'm Ben, these are my thoughts about your image...
Firstly, the colour choice is excllent, there's a cartoony-surrealism to it that makes me want to reach out - like experiencing a dream.
I love the fact her face has been covered by her hair because this shows implied mystery that grabs me and leaves the viewer of your work to place whoever they like behind the hair, this involves the viewer- LOVE IT.
For some reason I'm drawn to her feet. They look so good feature wise and draw ina concept of illusion to the rest of the work. I also love the choice of title - fantastic originality.

Personally I think that the piece of writing you've put with this is fabulous and beautifully crafted, it bonds with your image even if this wasn't intended.

This is one of those pieces where I can't nitpick because the background works so well with the image and the lighting's beautiful and I've taken to all of it, so this is more of a comment than a review so I must apologise but I think this piece of art is flawless!

Ben.

hello, lava.

actually, i'm also having troubles on how to edit this so that it'll look lonely and dull, but then i just adjusted the saturation and brightness, and i wasn't really expecting a result like this. i think it seemed somewhat bright, and it looked happy.

but thanks for that..and well, i wanna tell you that I AM the model in this photo. quite frankly, i'm loving photography now.

thanks so much again.

I think that it seemed to happy for what you wrote after it. To bright for my taste, but as for the writing I am all to familiar with it. Good job on emotion with it I suppose.
My reality comes to a close as I once again realize that you don't love me, and even if I love you with my everything you will never care.

ok this is good. it is a bit bright colored for the tone you are putting on it. The picture and story don't match but they are both very nice. My only question is... Is this a drawing or photograph?

hello aouther.

it's a dull photograph..it's lonely and ugly for me, so i came up with the idea of editing it and changing the saturation and brightness. if you haven't read in my replies, that was ME on that photo, taken in a resort during our summer vacation last year.

thanks for the comment. :D

Bonjour, Telle!

I think the concept idea behind this is cool, but I don't like the photograph much. Your hair's a bit too much in your face, and while I think the hair in face touch adds mystery, I think you need to maybe have less of it in your face, haha, so that it still looks like a face.

The saturation is a little too high, so it looks unnatural. While this is pretty cool, it's a little harsh on my eyes, so I don't like it too much, but I think you did good with editing. Do you do this sort of thing often?

Er. The concept, like Junie (Juniper) said, is a good one. But...the photograph is lacking a lot. It looks like you have no face. Hair does add mystery, but too much and you're a faceless human! Oh dear. Not what we want, eh?
The saturation is terrible. And there's the honesty. It's very unnatural, harsh on my eyes, and annoying. It is good. You just need to fix some things, like not making it so harsh, and the composition.
Nice try.

One of the things I love about YWS is the quote generator. For example, I'm reading a really serious work, and then I see "Moo. - cow" at the bottom of the page.
