Normally, I'm not one for advertising myself. I mean, I hate attention, and I get enough of it anyway. Why bother to stand on a soapbox and hold a giant neon sign that says, "Look over here! I need attention!"
But, I'm doing just that (sorry, Nate) to let you all in on my latest project: the Just Makes Sense Blog!
I've decided that, because I'm suddenly realizing that I'm actively engaging in the outside world, that there is not a lot of common sense left. "Just Makes Sense" is an attempt to view current events, pop culture, politics, and a variety of other topics from a logical, educated, and occasionally religious viewpoint. The topic at hand really depends on the viewpoint, but it is guaranteed that all views and analyses will be grounded in common sense: no political correctness, no worrying about offending people. Just blatant and honest truth.
If you're interested in reading it, feel free to stop by. My first article is up, looking at a case in Wichita, Kansas, about the murder of an abortion doctor, and the judge's decision to allow the murderer to plead guilty for "voluntary manslaughter". "Just Makes Sense" also has a Facebook page and a Twitter feed that will provide all necessary updates about blog postings, news, and the likes.
That is the latest project! This also explains why I haven't been as active lately (other reasons why I haven't been active: too much school work, bad school internet connection, just plain haven't been writing). I welcome you to check it out, give me feedback, ask me questions. The blog is meant to get you thinking about the world around you, and ways for you to make sense of it. And as always, I love it when people are willing to stand up to me and tell me when I'm wrong (that's kind of sarcastic, but not really).
