I prefer ducks! Just because it is fun to say "Quack." I also had this really cute duck stuffed animal which I called "Quacko." Good times...

Anyhow! Welcome to YWS! I hope you'll enjoy your stay here. The best thing you can do is get involved. Critique stories, join storybooks, welcome other new people, and of course: submit your own stories to be refined.

As for just joining a writing site, there are some differences. First, we're all writing as best as we can at all times. Proper grammar and spelling isn't just for your work, it's everywhere. Chat speak has been known to cause some members eyes to hemorrhage. If you're one of them, you might avoid the chat room.

All in all, you'll do just fine.

So do you write a lot of realistic fiction? I always admire people who can write in that genre, as I have a lot of trouble with it. Personally, I write long pieces of fantasy fiction, and I'm currently working on my novel in progress. Well, I hope you enjoy reading a lot of the work around here! Hope it gives you inspiration. YWS is a bunch of lunatics, in fact I've taken to referring to it to my friends as the "nutter club" because it's easier to pronounce, but it really is a great community and you can get along well with any random stranger you like.

I would recommend that you should visit the Tavern in the Randomness forum, and the Chat Room. As well as the Lounge and Randomness forums in general.

And, of course, critiquing is always smiled upon.

Writersdomain- Yes, I personally find fantasy hard to write, which i know sounds odd, but i like real life things, but s i guess i can exaggerate sometimes

JustDance- Yes i did mean realistic. Pizza or pasta going to have to say pasta, i wish to move to Italy, so better get used to it book - hard , but going to have to say any Harry Potter books, which i know is not me at all, but its so addicting to read! movie- oh, now that is hard ,i may have to say that i cant pick ! theres jsut soo many that i love !Band/artist- either JLS, Daughtry or Joe McElderry, odd combo i know, but whats a girl to do ! type of music- i am into pretty much everything, pop, rock, swing, jazz, i think it depends on the mood i am in !
