I have a few pointers on this picture, mostly things you probably could not help, but things to look for in the future if perhaps a chance comes. First off, I think the picture could have been better if the moon was actually in the photo. The sky color and siloette(sp?) is nice though. My main issue though are the people. It makes it less artistic and although they are hard to see, they are distracting. Again, I know there was probably not much you could do about this. Overall, I think it's good.

Those are trees, not people. xD Also, i was confused about what photo I uploaded here. There is no moon.

Hey Daydreamer again:

This picture is ok, not my favorite. I prefer the other one you posted with the Sun.

This one isn't very interesting to me. The contrast is nice but other than that, it's rather boring.
Maybe if the Sun were visible over the tops of the trees it might have turned out better.

I don't see any people either!

Keep posting!

Hey Kat

This photo is quite interesting but at the same time a little dull. I love the silhouettes you have here and how the light is coming through the branches and the leaves to create these really nice shapes and silhouettes. However there is no extra element to make this photograph amazing. Yes you have caught a sunset but where is the sun? and you have this big huge expanse of sky but not really much happening in it. Perhaps you could have gone for a lower angle so that you got more silhouette and less sky and then this photograph would have been more impressive. Right now I just feel like it is lacking the extra something to make it above par. It's a good photo and all but it just needs that extra something.

So perhaps that is something to think about in further photography ventures. What I find sometimes helps is to think about layering your photograph. You don't just have your subject in the mid ground and that is it. There is the foreground and the background to think about as well and setting things up in these different planes can make photographs much more interesting and stand out. You could try and keep that in mind for future photographs but just remember that it won't work for every photo.

Hope I helped a bit. If you have any questions then feel free to PM me :)

Hi, me again! I liked the other 2 pics, so I'm gonna review this one as well. That OK with you? :)

Anyway, this looks pretty and mostly well-balanced and that sort of thing, but I'd quite like some more detail. Or at least some more things in the picture. Like, how about the sun itself? Although I'm pretty sure it already went down when you took this photo. Also, I believe this might look better with the photo actually centered on the sunset itself.

Hope this helped and sorry for the harshness! Again, only 1 pic, so not very long of a review either. Later! :D

its a nice photo but the time of day is actually called twilight not sunset twilight is just after sunset but before night fall i think you should change your title for this picture. good job keep up the good work.

and remember that timeing and angle is the key :D

It's a nice picture, but I don't think that it could be considered a sunset. The sunset has a massive array of colors, and this didn't. I agree with Kimithy that it would be considered twilight.

When I take pictures of the sunset or sunrise, I always try to make sure that I have nothing in my way, but I liked the trees on the horizon. Had all the colors of the sunset been there, the picture would've gone from nice to magnificent :smt003

Hey Kat,

I don't think this picture needs a sun, there are plenty of pictures like that, I just think the silhouette is very dark which makes the image a little flat. If the trees would still have their usual tones of colors it would have created more depth and made the picture more interesting.
But maybe it's only this dark on my computer because i certainly can't see any people. if that's the case I'll take it all back!
:)
