Hello and good day, I'm Zephy! Well, more or so known as Peyton here in the real world. I'm fourteen years old and have been attempting and failing at writing since just a couple of years ago, though I've been telling stories since before I can remember.

I've always been known as an odd child, never quite fitting in with the rest of the kids within my age group and never growing out of my imagination like so many other teenagers have done. I'm smart and not afriad to admit it, I'm not afriad to admit that I LOVE reading as well!

I just started eighth grade about five weeks ago at a new school, in a new town within a new state and after about a year of homeschooling away from everyday teenage life. It was friggin' hard adjusting to everything, and in the end I was just myself and have made quite a few really good friends who respect me for who I am: which is a girl with an obsession with anime/manga, a drive for her artwork and a sort of pride for what she accomplishes.

My favorite form of fiction has got to be action/adventure, but when it comes to writing it usually ends up being action/adventure/romance/horror/comedy/drama/etc. Suzanne Collins is my all time favorite author, she wrote 'The Hunger Games' and 'Catching Fire' which are two books in the The Hunger Games Trilogy, she kept me glued to my seat as I read her work!

I enjoy poetry as well, but I've started getting a bad taste for it after being exposed to so many of those 'Oh I hate my life and everyone in it/The darkness is suffocating me/I'm going to kill myself/Life has no meaning' poems that so many people have started writing. It is horrible, but sometimes amusing to read.

I'm the strong opposite of an emo/goth/whatever you want to call it. I'm a happy person who lives her life to the fullest possible extint, there is no room for depression here.

I refuse to wear skinny-jeans because I swear its an act of congress to get those things on AND they look disgusting on A LOT of people. I wear make-up that actually matches my skin-tone/eyes and not the creepy raccoon eyeliner or multi-colored eyeshadow.

So... That's me! XD

Hey, Zephy! :D

Welcome to YWS!

You seem to be a grammar Nazi like myself! :) You have correct punctuation, and spelling, and everything else! <3 I officially love you! xD

I hate those angsty teenage suicide/emo/goth poems too! Ha ha! They seem to be popular these day though. :/ Meh. Hopefully they'll just be a part of the past soon. They're starting to get on my nerves.

I know how it feels to have so many new changes in your life. I've moved over thirteen times, and I'm only fifteen (I'll be sixteen a month from today!). Writing sure does help me get through it all though, that's for sure. :]

So, I'm pretty sure a greeter will fill you in on all the details, but you definitely seem smart enough to figure it all out by yourself. :) If you ever need any help or a review on a piece, you can always send me a message and I'll help you out, no problem. I used to be an instructor (one of the important people on YWS) until my life got a bit too busy for me to commit to the job. :)

As you can see, I use way too many smilies. :) :) :) :) :)

Anywho, I'm sure you'll see me around and I'll see you around, because I know you'll love YWS. I've been here for almost two years and I can't go a day without it. <3

Much love,

Hi Monki!

Yes, you could call me a grammar Nazi, I have like severe OCD when it comes down to it. XD

Those poems get on my nerves so bad, heck, those people get on my nerves! o_o

Happy sixteenth in a month! And from Alabama to California is pretty rough, but thirteen times?!

I've got most of all the rules down pat, 2:1 ratio, greeters/instructors/Jmod/Mod/Admin(s)/etc. :D And I too love smilies! :D :D :D :D :D :D

Hi and welcome to YWS! (A.K.A. The Most Awesome Place On Earth!) I would sing you the unofficial welcome song, but I haven't gotten around to writing it yet!

I'm also a grammar Nazi! Yay!

You are officially awesome! I totally agree with you about all those emo/goth people. They get on my nerves also! And don't even get me started on those people who wear way too much makeup. I don't even wear any unless it's like grad and my awesome friend/hairdresser puts some on me! ;)

I was just talking to my dad about skinny jeans this morning! They just make me mad for more than one reason. :( Firstly, I have like humongous calves so they just don't fit over them! Every single time I try a pair on I can't fit them over! Also, they're like everywhere! Have you ever noticed that? It's like you walk into a store and BAM! you're getting skinny jeans thrown at you from all sides! I just don't like things that are too popular... Anti-conformity rules! (And so do smilies! :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) ;))

But I better get going... Feel free to PM me or search me out on the boards! I'd love to get to know more about you!

I guess I'll see ya later though! Bye bye!

~ Kitty/Trish, you choose! :)

Greetings Zephy, I am Adelaide the YWS AI.

YWS has quite a number of homeschooled members. YWS is a group of friends you can take with you, no matter where you move. It can be hard to adapt to new circumstances, but humans are remarkably adept at adapting.

There are a couple of usergroups on YWS which value members who can give a good critique. I look forward to seeing some of your reviews.

It's easier to come up with new stories than it is to finish the ones you already have. I think every author would feel that way.
