Nukpana

She howled to Fury, letting him know she was nearly there. Nuk saw her pack all grinning and ready to attack. Fury was laughing and growling at the same time.

"We will kill the resistance!" He yelled. "I will lead you to kill the Warrior pack! They are the ones who slow us down! Then no one will ever undermine our authority again!"

Every wolf in th Brushfire clan howled at that. Though, no one's howl was louder than Nukpana's. If they took over the Warrior clan, she would kill Fury. Then the pack would be hers.

She looked to the others.

"When do we leave to attack, Fury?" She asked him, standing beside him now.

He looked over at her and smiled. "Now."

They took off, leading the pack towards the last bit of resistance they could find.

Storm

"Where are they?"

Storm's jaw dropped. Tier! Storm gave a howl of joyous laughter. In Storm's joy, he didn't notice the wild look on Tier's face. He leaped onto Tier playfully, laughing all of the way.

With a strangled yelp of shock, Tier threw Storm off of him. Storm stopped laughing, and turned to stare at Tier. Tier, panting, stared back at him, wide-eyed.

"... Tier?" whimpered Storm nervously. Tier met Storm's eyes and seemed to mentally shake himself. Storm gave an apologetic whimper, lowering himself to look up at Tier. Lhuna stepped up behind Storm.

"Tier! Where did you come from?"

Tier met her eyes, the battle-mania fading slightly. "I've been on your tail for days..."

Storm turned back to look at Lhuna. She looked surprised, and opened her mouth to say something, but Tier turned to Nightstar.

"I smelled Storm and Lhuna from miles away. But I didn't know you were here until I could see it for myself."

Storm's ears pricked up at Tier's tone of voice. Storm had caught a hint of either respect or praise. Even worse, Storm might have heard both. Storm gave a low growl, glaring at Nightstar. Lhuna nipped him sharply on his shoulder. Storm jumped, and whined at Lhuna, who gave him a sharp glare back.

Storm turned to glare at Nightstar again once Lhuna had turned back to Tier. Nightstar met his gaze coldly, and opened his mouth to say something to Storm.

All at once, a chorus of blood-curdling howls tore through the forest, sending countless birds into the air. Lhuna looked around wildly.

"Brushfire!" she whispered. The battle hungry look grew once again in Tier's eyes.

Lark

The Warrior pack darted in and out and around Lark, making her dizzy and terrified. She whimpered, looking around for a familiar face. Redwind had sped off before he could explain anything, and Lark had become entangled in the fray of frantic wolves.

Suddenly, Hera was by Lark's side.

"do you know what is going on?" cried Hera in Lark's ear. Lark shook her head frantically.

"No! I heard something about Brushfire - "

Hera growled, looking around for any opening in the frenzy of wolves. Lark's ears flattened. Hera looked back down at her.

"Come on!" Hera called, forcing her way through the fray. "We have got to find shelter!"

Lark whimpered, and sped off after her.

Cana

Blood thirsty howls ripped through the air, bringing me to stop in my tracks. Bane turned back to me, a confused look on his face.

"What are you doing?" he asked. "We need to get out of Brushfire territory before that crazy she-wolf tracks us down."

"Didn't you hear those howls?" I asked.

Bane nodded. "Yes, that is exactly why we need to leave." He turned to start running again, but I just couldn't leave. Not if there could be other Yellow Hill wolves around.

"No." I said.

Bane looked angry, he obviously didn't want to get tangled up in Brushfire trouble when he wanted to find wolves we actually knew.

"What if Yellow Hill wolves are stuck in whatever is going down with the Brushfires." I said.

He paused, and his face grew sad as thoughts of our friends, our family, flashed through his head. He eventually sighed, "We'll go." he said.

We both turned back towards the howls and raced off, hoping we wouldn't be finding any of our own pack already in trouble.

*eh, it's kind of bad. I just wanted Cana back into the mix.*

Randyll

The entire Warrior Clan was in chaos. Everyone was rushing around trying to get to their positions. I knew where I was supposed to go, but that's not where I wanted to be.

"Father!" I shouted as Redwind dashed past me. He came to a stop and turned to me.

"Randyll, get with your mother and the other pups." he instructed.

The other pups... "I'm not a pup anymore." I said.

"Randyll, you aren't ready to take this on. Go to your mother." authority rang in the alpha's voice.

"But father-"

My father's face was suddenly close to mine. "Randyll, if you dare to disregard my instructions I will not hesitate to make you listen." he growed.

I dropped my head and ran off to my mother's den, followed by Oceanleaf and her brothers.

Windsong

Windsong panted heavily, speaking so fast she could only hope the two wolves could understand her.

"Go North, towards the mountains. On the east side of the mountain, there is a small tunnel. Go through it, you'll be save there. It will lead you to the Warrior haven."

"But-" the tawny coloured male began, his brow furrowed in irritation.

"No, no time!" Spirit said, grabbing Windsong by the ear and tugging at it. "We have to save as many as possible!"

Windsong bowed to the two wolves. "May the White Wolf guide you to safety," she whispered over her shoulder before she and Spirit shot off in search of more stragglers.

*Any wolf who needs brought in can be found by Windsong ;)*

Lhuna

Lhuna suddenly felt nervous. Nothing to do with the impending Brushfire attack, no. Tier's sudden appearance and reaction to Storm puzzled her. That new fire in his eyes, the fire of revenge, was troubling. She had to get him away from the Brushfires, and soon.

"Tier, we have to move-"

"No, I want to fight," Tier said defiantly, one paw hitting the ground as be began to sniff out the Brushfires.

Lhuna's ears went back against her head. She loathed having to order people about. Maybe she could find a way around it.

"Tier? Please?" She said in her most persuasive voice, her ears perking.

Hello!! I finally have access to a computer again, and I will all weekend!! :D Yay! So I just wanna let you know that I'm still here :)

I'll do as much as I can think of...

Whiplash, Warrior Beta

The scene was of mass chaos around the den. Wolves running to and fro in an attempt to get ready for the Brushfire's random attack. I then noticed Lark and that other new wolf, Hera, standing around, looking for some way to get involved. I raced towards them.

"Lark! You've got to get to the den!"

"I can fight..." she said meekly. I tried not to laugh.

"You're hardly a year old. Make sure she gets there," I instructed her companion.

"It's Hera..." she growled.

I stared at her sternly. "Yes, whatever." I left them with that and went to find Redwind. He was surveying the scene that was slowly unfolding. "Redwind!" I called as I quickly approached him. "Are our forces ready?"

I'll try to post as often as I can this weekend :)

Redwind

"Redwind!" Whiplash called and was soon beside me. "Are our forces ready?"

I glanced into the slowly settling confusion behind me. "It appears so." I said. "Now, I want you to lead the main warriors. Try and keep them on Nukpana, that she-wolf will be nearly as hard to handle as Fury. Leave me to handle Fury. I've had enough of him."

Whiplash was shocked by the anger in my voice, I hardly ever even thought of harming another wolf. This was too far though, Fury was endangering more than fellow wolves he was endangering my pack, my family. Something had to be done.

"Okay." Whiplash said at last and turned to face some other wolves.

"And Whiplash," I said before he left. "Don't think I can't handle Fury. I may be old, but I can still protect my family." I hoped my words held in his mind. I had a feeling that this battle would take a great toll on the Warrion Clan.

"Don't think that way." Skye said softly, suddenly beside me.

I looked to her and nuzzled the side of her neck. "I am not the young, powerful wolf I once was." I said.

She shook her head. "That's not true."

"I have enough fight left in me to take down Fury, but I don't know how much of me will be left afterwards." I said.

Skye sighed and turned away. It nearly broke my heart, but I knew it was true. She knew it was true also. "May Sky-Lark be with you." she whispered before heading back to tend the pups.

"May Sky-Lark be with us all." I said as more devilish howls ripped through the night air.

Nukpana

Nukpana laughed her cold, high-pitched laugh. It echoed around them.

"This is it!" She called to Fury. "We're nearly there! I can almost taste the fear...the blood on my tongue." Nuk laughed again, eagerly.

"Calm, Nukpana!" Fury yelled. "Let us not forget this is the Warrior clan we are talking about."

"Do you think we cannot defeat them?" She asked incredulously.

"I am not stupid, girl," he growled. "I am only saying that if we underestimate them, we might not be able to overpower them."

Nukpana nodded, angrily in agreement. As bad as it sounded, he had a point. She could learn a little from her Alfa.

"No mercy!" She called, howling. "No resistance!"

The other wolves howled again. This time it changed. It was the cry that started the battle. They had finally arrived on the Warrior clan territory. Too bad it wouldn't be thiers for long.

Storm

More Brushfire howls sounded through the forest. Storm whimpered, his ears twisting back nervously. "Lhuna?" he said quietly. "Maybe we should go an look around, just in case anyone needs help..."

"Storm, I don't want anything like another Black Tooth attack," said Lhuna plainly.

Howls swept through the forest again. Storm cringed. "I can't - If anyone is in their way - I can't sit and watch this!"

Lhuna glanced at the three wolves staring at her. Her glance lingered longest on Tier before she gave a long sigh. "Right. We stay out of the fray, though, Storm. I don't want any of us hurt. But we can look around and try to help anyone who is trying to hide..."

Storm grinned. "Thank you, Lhuna!" he sang before setting off briskly through the forest. He heard the rest of his pack following him, but Storm followed only his gut instinct.

Lark

Lark sat down in the den nervously. The Warrior pups were all staring at her, wide eyed. Lark guessed it was a normal pup reaction to strangers, but it made her uncomfortable all the same. Redwind's mate, Skye, was sitting watchfully at the mouth of the den.

Lark's hair rose as she looked around the earth surrounding her. Lark didn't like dens; she never really was in the Black Tooth den as a pup, and now they made her feel trapped. It did not help Lark that the den was overcrowded with yearlings like herself that were banned from the battle.

Lark closed her eyes tightly. She waited and wished for the battle to be over so she could escape this horrible, horrible place.

Suddenly, Skye perked up at the mouth of the den. Her hackles rose as she sniffed the air. Lark sniffed hesitantly too. The yearlings crowded towards her, attempting to catch the scent.

"That is not Brushfire," said one proudly. There was a mumble of agreement. Lark closed her eyes and breathed in the scent. It struck her as familiar, but she didn't know why.

Suddenly, Lark's eyes shot open. It was a Yellow Hill wolf! Lark sniffed again and realized that there was about three of them... Lark smiled, quietly sharing her secret triumph of her nose. She breathed in again, just to be sure.

This time, something else caught in Lark's nose. Something she had never smelled before, but was alarmingly familiar. Sniffing furiously, now Lark wound her way to the entrance of the den, her eyes closed.

"Lark, get farther in... " said Skye softly. "This is not safe for you to - "

Lark's eyes flew open. She knew what it was! Lark was smelling - herself! She didn't know how or why, but Lark knew that whomever this Yellow Hill wolf was, she smelled like him.

Transfixed, Lark walked calmly out of the den. "Lark!" shouted Skye sharply. "You need to get back in here!"

Lark ran toward the scent, now. And she could smell the scent running towards her. They met in the meadow outside of the Warrior den. Shaking slightly, Lark opened her eyes.

In front of her was a deep gray, sleek-coated, male wolf. He stared at her as plainly as she stared at him. Lark dimly noted that three other wolves had accompanied this one, but Lark for once couldn't care.

Their noses met, both still twitching furiously at each other's scent. The wolf made a low whine. It broke the moment. All at once, they were sniffing each other frantically, trying to understand why their scents were one and the same.

Lark pulled back for a moment to look at the wolf. Suddenly, she was overwhelmed by memory of a small pup, barely a month old, running along with his litter mates and his parents in a meadow. She recognized herself loping around with the rest of them, as part of the 'gang'.

"Storm?" whispered Lark quietly, staring at him. The wolf's eyes clouded over for a moment.

"Lark?" came his slow reply. Lark jolted. All her life she had believed herself to be the only one surviving in her family. And now - ?

Storm danced backward before barreling into her in the pup's play that Lark never experienced in Black Tooth. For once, Lark was not afraid. She let herself be knocked to the ground only to stare wide-eyed at Storm some more.

Her brother.

Randyll

I sat behind my mother and watched the two pups playing. My mother was relaxed as she watched, happy. I'm sure there was a motherly smile holding onto her face.

All I could think about though was the fact that my pack, my sister, my father, they were all out fighting and I was here with the pups. In my frustration I let a whine escape my throat.

"You'll get your chance." my mother said.

I frowned. "Yeah, right."

"To be a warrior is to feel the warrior spirit inside you, Randyll. Then your time has come, then it will be your chance to show your strength." she explained.

She was right, but I wasn't happy about it. I sulked back into the den and slumped down on the floor. Howls from the battle echoed from the distance, and something didn't feel right about them. Something terrible would be happening tonight.

Cana

My paws pounded the earth as I sprinted towards the war howls. I had long outrun Bane, and if I hadn't I wasn't sure. I wouldn't stop long enough to look behind me.

Suddenly, I ran straight into a familiar looking wolf.

"Lhuna?" I couldn't believe my eyes. I had found some of my pack, but at the worst time. "Lhuna, we have to go help." More howls echoed my statement.

Okey dokey... Rayne and Zodiak are still alone, so I'm going to get them caught up in everything, if it's alright :)

Rayne

Zodiak and I rocketed through the tunnel at lightning speed, sometimes neck-and-neck, sometimes overtaking one another. Neither of us knew what was going on, or why, but it was a gut feeling that whatever it was, it was bad, and that we needed to help. The small hint of sunlight at the end of the tunnel grew larger and larger until finally, we raced out and into a new territory.

Nearby, we saw only a little den. Zodiak slowly trotted towards it and sniffed around a little. There were some gasps and some whispers from inside. I raised an eyebrow and joined him. Inside was a mother, and lots of yearlings and pups around her.

"Um...we're not here to hurt you," Zodiak told them slowly. "We were instructed to come here."

The mother wolf nodded and seemed to relax. A black, white, and blue-grayish wolf came forward. "Who told you to come?" He asked.

I stared at him a moment before answering, "A young she-wolf found us. She was white and gray and blue."

A look of recognition came to his face. "That's my sister, Windsong. I'm Randyll."

"Randyll..." Zodiak said thoughtfully. "What's going on?"

I know, it kinda sucks lol. But they needed to get into the story, so...yeah.

Windsong

Windsong stopped in her tracks as Spirit rocketed by her, filled with horror at the sound of a howl. Strangely it was not that of a Brushfire, but of her own father.

A battle cry.

No. She couldn't let him do this. The strongest feeling of dread filled her lungs. She'd seen Fury in battle, seen the aftermath of his wars. Redwind couldn't take it...
Without a thought, without telling Spirit where she was going, without even breathing, she ran as fast as her legs could propel her through the forest and towards Fury's army.

Her father had a Clan to lead.

She shot through the bushes towards the line of black that marched across the land, straight for the grey and black wolf that lead it. She looked into the cruel red eyes of Fury and growled, one word escaping between the growls and snarls.

"No."

Nukpana

Nukpana laughed it sounded high and cruel. She instantly pounced upon a huge, growling wolf.

"Nukpana!" He shouted, clawing. Nuk smiled. She bit into his throat and he fell. She laughed again. He wasn't dead, but he was suffering.

"Nuk," he growled, trying to get up. She looked down at him and smiled.

"In pain?" She asked. "Well, I was just telling our pack members how we were to show no mercy. Wouldn't it be mercy to kill you?"

She laughed and left the wolf dying in the snow. She looked around and saw a group of four or five wolves around her.

"A challenge!" She exclaimed, delighted. "Let's see what you can do."

Nukpana crouched. She could outwit them mentally. She could overtake them physically. Let's see how well they did against her.

**Alright, sorry, I haven’t been on in ages, but exams are over now, and we’re not doing anything in school for a couple of weeks.**

Tier

The hunter’s fur bristled, and Tier’s eyes were wide with an almost suicidal desire to fight. The Brushfire clan had attacked his without warning, had separated him from them all, had forced him to spend far too long looking for them. And finally, he had his chance to do something about it.

“Tier? Please?” Lhuna’s soft voice broke through his thoughts, and he blinked a few times.

Distantly, he could hear a conversation between his alpha and Storm. He shook himself a little, this wasn’t right. His family had never been violent or bloodthirsty. Ossal was one of the calmest wolves Tier had ever seen. There was no denying that Tier was far more hot-blooded than his uncle, but that wasn’t who was needed now.

He heard the soft, quick footfalls of Storm rushing away from them, and then Lhuna’s voice again, still that pleading, persuading tone. “Tier? Will you help as well?”

“I’m sorry, Lhuna.” He said, shaking himself, “I’ll help too.”

She smiled, racing off after Storm, Tier right on her heels. He focused on his hunter’s senses, searching for the scent of lone wolves, knowing that the only ones in groups would be Brushfire or their opposition, who would hardly need help.

Randyll

"The Brushfires have initiated war with our clan, the Warriors. We're in the midst of a battle," I stated.

The new wolves seemed to consider this for a moment.

"We will help you," the she-wolf said. "I am Rayne, and this is Zodiak. We are...were part of a pack of wolves, Yellow Hill, from very far away."

Skye stepped in front of me before I could say anything else. "We couldn't ask such a sacrifice from you." she said.

I began to drift off in my own thoughts, thoughts of the war. My own father was out there, his battle cries filled the air. These were not the true actions of my father. I suddenly couldn't handle it anymore, I sprinted out of the den and towards the howls of the Warriors.

I will fight tonight.

Redwind

The pack split into two groups as we ran to meet the Brushfires. Half went to where Nukpana's demonic howls echoed, and the other half followed myself to where it was strangely silent. Fury would be stealthy, and brutal when faced, as would the wolves in his party.

I let another howl rip through the air. My heart raced, flooding my veins with anger and a desire to fight to protect my family.

We quickly came upon the sounds of snarling wolves.

"No." a familiar wolf growled.

I nearly froze in my place. Windsong.

I burst through the bushes and landed in front of my daughter, and facing my worst enemy. Fury.
