I Do Not Like Megan Fox

She has no talent, and it's even worse when she's only hyped up because of what she looks like. Yes, she is very pretty, but casting directors, the media, and 90% of men should not be that shallow to only have that as a reason to like her.

She's an Angelina Jolie wannabe. They have, like, the same tattoos.

I wanted to punch her in the face when I saw Transformers 2. She sounded drunk throughout the entire movie, and she's a horrible actress. I nearly LOL'd when I saw the shot of her sitting all sexy on the motorcycle, airbrushing something, with her butt sticking up towards the camera.

Media and men are shallow.

And you kinda have to be conceited to put on botox every 20 mins. or so. Yes, botox.

She's never going to be the actress Angelina Jolie is, that's for sure. I'll admit Megan Fox has an enviable figure, but her face isn't anything extraordinary, really. Plus I find her personality annoying.

But she wants to date Rain, and apparently loves Shia LeBeouf. So her taste in men is good.

Why do you all dislike her? You can't call her un-talented if she's only been in about 3 movies. Seriously. Get a grip. The movies she's been in don't show her acting at all in my opinion so its pointless to criticize her acting when you don't even see any.
She's brand new! Give her a break. It took Angelina Jolie more than 3 movies to become the actress she is now.

And she has a nice face. Her eyes rock

So in summary:

1. She is not a particularly good actress.

2. She is very pretty and has sex appeal.

3. 90% of guys like her because of #2 and that is wrong.

I think those are the basic points, please correct me if I'm wrong on your meaning.

I think you may have unrealistic expectations on both Ms. Fox and her male audience. Now, let's have a reality check here, starting with Ms. Fox.

1. Ms. Fox is a young attractive female actress.

2. As a result, she is being cast as a young attractive female.

3. The movies she has been given roles in haven't necessarily given her a lot in the way of good roles. (Michael Bay movies are characterized by lots of explosions and bad storytelling.)

4. She is still very much at the beginning of her career and has a lot of growing to do as an actress. She has to take whatever job she can get, so that she can make money while she is still young and attractive. With time and experience, she'll become a better actress and get better roles to play. She'll either show off her talent then or she'll disappear from the screen.

Now for guys.

1. Guys don't 'like' Ms. Fox. Instead, they like her appearance as the characters she portrays. This is a very important difference. Sometimes guys have trouble noticing the difference, see #4 for more on that.

2. Until someone invents a way to see the "soul" of others, there is really no other way for guys to be immediately attracted to any girl without some sort of stimulus, visual or otherwise. There is no way for a guy to instantly know the content of your being. Being attractive is the fastest way to get our attention (but not the only way by any means.)

3. This stimulus is most enjoyable and guys like it. If we didn't like it, then humanity wouldn't exist because we'd be repulsed by women entirely. Don't blame guys for being attracted to an attractive person.

4. That said, the stimulus itself is not sufficient to develop a relationship beyond infatuation. Most guys realize that you need something more substantial to make a relationship work and last. Physical appearance is just one of the criterion, others include financial and emotional stability, common interests and philosophies, and the skills and talents you possess (such as being organized or being an amazing cook.) Guys don't fall in love, they just become infatuated, the other stuff requires an actual relationship to truly establish. If a guy dumps you for a movie, then he probably wasn't worth your concern in the first place.

I would like the topic to become more focused on the actual accomplishments (or lack thereof) of Ms. Fox, instead of just expressing your emotions towards her (anger, frustration, jealousy?) If this turns into a flame fest, the thread will get locked.

Well, I'll definitely agree that you guys are right, we can't say for sure that she is untalented because her filmography is very limited. So I'm taking back that statement. It's just that, from what I've seen, she isn't an acting powerhouse. Like some debut actors and actresses just really make an impression from the get-go, you know? But maybe that has to do more with the role than with the actor themselves.

I'm not quite sure when we'll get to see her really try her hand at acting. Just took a quick look at her upcoming movies and she's going to play:

a cheerleader possessed by a demon (Jennifer's Body)
a gun-wielding love interest to a bounty hunter (Jonah's Hex)
a girl with the ability to control water (Fathom)

It looks like the closest thing we have is in The Crossing, where she is going to play a wife who has to smuggle drugs across the border to earn her husband's freedom. That'll be curious to see, considering how the US/Mexico border is still quite a touchy subject, and adding drug smuggling into the mix is going to be insane. I'm just wondering how the director is going to deal with this.

It's very typical indeed. Looking on my facebook page alone I see "10 of your friends are fans of Megan Fox." I have to say that I didn't like Transformers and didn't even bother seeing the second one. No idea what else she is in, but you know.

As far as talent goes, she's just like any other actress. Now, for looks I have disagree with a lot of guys in saying that she is not that attractive. I don't know, maybe I have weird taste, but I never saw anything about Megan Fox that stuck out. I could name people I know in real life that I find more attractive, but that's just me.

I consider myself not a fan of Ms. Fox. And plus I wouldn't become a fan of someone just because of their attractiveness in the first place, which seems to be the whole fanbase.

Me too. Yes, she's extremely pretty, but that's the only reason she got a part in Transformers. I'll be interested to see her new movies, because she WAS okay in Transformers, but honestly, that scene where she was spray-painting a motorbike...*sigh* I don't mind her acting, and Michael Bay was probably the person behind that scene, but I'm still not much of a fan.

I think that she is very beautiful, yes. But her being in few movies doesn't mean that he talent is bad. Shes only been in three! Tom Welling sucked in his first three because he was a model moving on up. Give her a break! She's doing better than most do. It's really rude of everyone criticizing her because some guys like her because she's hot. I find a bit of jealousy in that. Also, saying that men and media are shallow is also rude. Some men are and some aren't. Some media is and some isn't. It depends on the person.

Now, this is not nice at all. You actually have to be self concious about your face to put botox in. If she was conceited then she would be saying that she was perfect and that she was better than everyone else. She wouldn't bother with her body.

That's not true. Megan Fox is in way more than three movies. Check her imdb profile or look her up on wikipedia before trying to defend her with pseudo-legit reason why no one has seen her acting talent yet.
