SKill vs. Soul?

The question whether skill or soul is more important writing has been eating at me for a while now, so I'd like to ask for your opinions. Is it more important for a writer to be skilled at their craft, knowing how to use imagery, literary devices, and silver-lined words? Or is the amount of soul, emotion, and heart the real key to good writing? -Shina

I think skill maters over soul. If someone has a story to tell within their soul, without skill, they will not convey it well through words and paper.

House: People interest me. Conversations don't.
