My first ink drawing.

Ok so this is for the people that wanted me to post something in ink.

nice work, try shading it more...i know you're probably like: How am i supossed to shade it with ink?!!!
have you ever heard of cross hatching, or speckling, or freckling. it works and it looks cool. try it sometime, look it up on the internet!

I agree, try doing a little bit more shading, besides that, I like it!

Shading with ink is very possible. Even in the Sunday comics, which aren't very realistic, you can see examples of simple cross-hatching and things like that. I like Bic pens, because if you use them lightly, they shade just like a pencil!

Now onto the drawing!

Her head is big. Waaay too big. I understand that this is in the anime style, but still...
Her neck is a bit long as well, and her nose doesn't quite look right. It isn't centered and it's far too angled.

But that doesn't mean it's bad. Study human proportion some. Even in a cartoon-y style, proportion is very important!

I love sharpies, they give you a definite depth and a fine stroke no other marker could match up to.

I am going to buy some art supplies tomorrow. I have charcoal pencils, and that is what I am working with currently. I agree on the nose it is kinda pointy. (like a witch hehehe) Anyway anime heads are supposed to be big, maybe not that big, but like I said drew it off the top of my head. Haha oh nobody comented on the uniform...my mom said it looked like it was for a guy.... Hahah anyway thanks for the reviews and tips, and if you have any more advise i would appreciate it!

Very neat. Personally, I like drawing ink cartoons. Now that's good fun... Yours is pretty sweet, anyway.

Try to make her clothes wrinkly/form-showing and add a little depth perhaps? Or do so next time?

I like it, anyway...eh...*yawns from sleepiness and thought of getting back to school*...probably because I can't draw cartoon people. Cartoon animals? Yes. But my people are always too realistic. No anime for me!
