A new day dawns,
And you are no longer here to see it.
The sun rises,
But your eyes will not witness it.
The birds sing,
Yet you won’t hear them.
Another sleepless night,
Thinking of the brother I lost.

Brothers by blood we were not,
Brothers of heart and soul we will always be.
When I needed help,
You were there.
When I needed to talk,
You were willing to listen.

My memories of you,
Will last me a lifetime.
Your laughter will forever ring in my ears,
Your smile will forever flash in my mind’s eye.

I will never forget you, my brother.
For now, you fly with angels.
But for a while,
You flew with me.

This poem was beautiful. You did an excellent job of capturing the emotion. I felt sad just reading it. I like how you talk about memories from the past as well as how the connection between the narrator and their brother still exists. This is a tough angle to capture, and I would have to say that you were able to do it. Suberb piece of writing!
Who did the jedi mind trick on you women when it comes to capri pants? *waves hand* You want a piece of clothing that makes your ass look wider, your legs shorter, and your feet bigger.

Mmm... so rejuvenating. I love the truth and feeling. When writing poetry, truth is everything.
I have no nit- picks (which is a once- in- a- lifetime thing.) Also, I love how you conveyed this so perfectly; your use of memory and brotherhood was amazing. Bottom line; awesome.
