Yes, I know. You probably should be welcoming me here, to Young Writer's Society [which would be cool], but frankily, I'm welcoming YOU to my world. ^.^ I'm very confusing, so you might get confused in my world a few times. I can be very exciting and outgoing, but then very reserved and quiet. But I think I'm getting a bit of a rebellious streak [yes, thank you, Bair], so I'm gaining more outgoing personality each day. ^.^
So anyway. My name is Aushy. I'm a pretty bright person, and I'm very optimistic [yess, the glass is half full]. I live in oh-so-sunny Florida. It's actually pretty nice here; the beach, the sky, the people...

I was introduced to Young Writer's Society by... *dun dun dun* ADEN! Or Ryan... or whatever you people call him here. xP Anyway. His username is chasingcolts21 [Psst! I give you my permission to go bug him. Just don't tell him I said I did. xP].
So anyway. The best thing about Young Writer's Society so far? Everyone uses proper grammar! Do you know how annoying it is when people are like, 'hey, ill g2g, ttly, i miss u, by'. I feel like shooting that person. It's, 'Hey, I have to go... talk to you later! I'll miss you, bye!'
UGHHH. And then people are actually bothered by my good grammar? Please. Go jump in a river [don't feel offended. I say that randomly. xP].

So! Welcome to the site, Ryan's friend (:))! I'm going to get a couple of rules out of the way (full version here, by the way, check 'em out):

1. Spread the love! Review two pieces before you post your own - and keep a 2:1 ratio of reviews to works. So we can keep the site running, yanno.
2. No chatspeak. Oh...I guess I didn't have to mention that one, huh?
3. Rate your works! Not actually a rule, but then they'll show up on the front page, which is pretty sweet. Oh, but if your story or poem or whatever should be R (eg, if it has swearwords or graphic scenes) then it has to be rated R, please.

Okay. So. Yeah. Welcome to the site! I'm incredibly jealous of you in Florida because it's currently FREEZING in Scotland. This country doesn't seem to understand that it's May. Ugh.

Who and what are your favorite authors, poets, books, movies, music, genre, things to write, foods? *is nosy* And don't worry; you think you're odd, this place is an insane asylum sometimes. *coughpyromaniacadmincough*

And mkay. I kind of scanned over the site rules; they seem reasonable. I think that rating it is really cool, because I've gone to a few sites like this but sometimes I run into inapporiate things, because there isn't the rating rule.

Mkay. *clears throat* My favorite authors are Cornelia Funke, Joni Sensel, J.K. Rowling, Sarah Mlynowski... and... uhm... I can't think of anymore. xP Poets? I'm not that big into poems, because I just mostly write them, not read them, LOL. Books? My favorite books are the Inkworld Trilogly; Inkheart, Inkspell, Inkdeath. Written by Cornelia Funke. ^.^ I also really enjoyed the Harry Potter seris, and I'm currently reading a great book called 'The Farwalker's Quest' [by Joni Sensel]. Movies? Too many of them. xP LOL, I can't decide which ones are my favorites! It seems as if I've only seen good movies. Music? I listen to Pop, a bit of Rock, and then Christain music [usually Christain Pop/Rock]. Yeah. Genre? As in, songs or books? Things to write? Fantasy. I refuse to write anything without fantasy in it. I tried it once, honestly I did. It was terribly boring. Foods? Grapes are my favorite food; I love them. <3 I also like peanut butter, which is very random. xP

Anyway, fantasy's not really my thing, at least not to write, but I'll critique and read it. I'm on a romance kick right now. For some reason. Usually what I write ends up in other.

Mkay. Right now I'm doing this really cool story where the two main characters are stuck in a medival time and what-not and... it's just really awesome, to me and the person I'm dedicating it to.

I also have a question. Is it meant that we post a whole chapter or just part we're struggling with?

Well, you can do what suits you. Most people start their story from the beginning, actually, so that they get reviews from beginning to end, and then the readers can know what's going on and critique it better, but if the part you need help with is very far in then that might not be so great.

Either way, if whatever you're posting is more than 1500 words I'd split it up because it's easier to get people to read it if it's in more than one part.

But I don't count the words. *te he* How many word document pages do you think that would be, then?

Um, depends on whether it's single or double spaced. You can go to Tools>>Word Count if you're in Microsoft word and it will count them for you. ^^

Oh. Well. I kind of already submitted my first one. xP I'm guessing it's well over 500 words... but... oh well. SOMEONE eventually will have to read it... right?

I was going through my posts, and when I saw that the last comment was, 'Someone will eventually have to read it... right?' I burst out laughing.
