Don't you see me caged up in this jail
so much to live for
so young and so frail
trying to protect me from the outside world
but all you do is keep me from seeing the truth!

Chorus:
Get me out of this cell
Let me be free and be who I wanna be
Get me out of this cell
I need to figure out on my own
Exactly who I want to be
So let me be free

You say you only want what's best for me
But your putting on
too much security
tell me stay here and keep me at home
no hangin' with friends no freedom to be me

Chorus:
Get me out of this cell
Let me be free and be who I wanna be
Get me out of this cell
I need to figure out on my own
Exactly who I want to be
So let me be free

Bridge:
Saw the news tonight
Some kid got hurt or got in a fight
So now I pay the toll
No harm can come by having no fun
But what's the fun of that

get me out of this cell
get me out of this cell
get me out of this cell
GET ME OUT OF THIS CELL!

Get me out of this cell
Let me be free and be who I want to be
Get me out of this cell
I need to figure out on my own
Exactly who I want to be
So let me
Oh just let me

[screamed if preferred]
LET ME BE FREE

This song was okay. But I think you used the word cell to much, so in time it pretty much got boring. I think you also don't have to write if something is a chorus or bridge we can figure that out our selves. I did like the theme of the song alot so good job on that. I would give you a 4/5 stars. Just make shuer on your next lyric that you will not use the same word all the time. Also more punctuation. Other wise I will give you a star.

Ok thanks. I see what you are saying there. Also I don't want to sound rude here but I only put bridge and chorus because this song was posted so that one of our band members could access it. I put bridge a chorus so that he could work out a tune. But thanks for the reply I hope to do better next time =D

Works well as a song, seems like it could be well sung, but, as a poem, it lacks zazz. Not much I can say, other than I'm not too fond of the whole 'chorus' thing, but that is seriously just me.

But yeah. Nice as a song, i can imagine the tune, just not to my taste I guess.

Wow. Forcefully delivered! I can almost feel the frustration and restlessness from here. I liked the concept, it thought it was okay, but there's such a thing as not hammering the message home so that an audience is reeling.

Like the previous reviewer said, the cell idea was repeated too much:

get me out of this cell
get me out of this cell
get me out of this cell
GET ME OUT OF THIS CELL!

Whoa, okay, we get it.

You see, your title is 'Let me be free' but your allow the 'get me out of the cell' theme to take over. If you set out to write a song about hope, you ended up writing it about something else. I'd go back to your original idea and try to work from there. Less is more.

The song kind of reminded me of 'Close Every Door To Me' from Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat by Andrew Lloyd Webber. You should have a listen to it if you don't know it. It's a good song. I'm not saying for you to copy it- but it's a song about someone in despair which gets it's point across well.

Anyway, hope my review helps.
