*I'm glad this hasn't died!*

Leslie~

"Just do the opposite of what you would have done as a tainted." Ray said, comfortingly. He gave me a slight push from behind so that I had no choice but to walk over to the girl who was now standing by herself. She looked lonely yet satisfied, as I neared closer. I chose to walk barefoot to enjoy the smooth chilly sandy ground. The purple orange sky fit perfectly and I cleared every cloud in sight to make the perfect sunset. I admit it.

I wanted the girl and boy to be happy.

The solitary girl sat on the edge of the cliff now just feet away. I started to open my mouth to say something but I was immediatly interrupted.

"I see you followed my advice, Leslie." The girl said, slowly turning her head to face me. She smiled--it was a cross between innocent and devious.

"I don't...I don't know what you mean." I said, taken aback.

"Well I sure remember. My eyebrow is still a little bruised. But, you must agree...you and Ray look marvelous together." The girl cooed.

I didn't know how to respond. The girl's voice was inviting and uninviting at the same time. I decided to simply nod. Then, I made a quick look behind my shoulder to make sure Ray was still there.

He wasn't. Ray, where are you?

*Ok, I'm probably going to have to edit this or send a couple PMs. I dunno when we would do the whole Ray becoming tainted thing. Its up to Incog. I was thinking along the lines that Ray gets transported to Vincent's dream with Becca. Though, I have no idea what you guys were planning...*

**JC, Dreamwalk, being Dreamwalk, didn't accept the idea. I have no idea what is going on. It is up to Dreamwalk. For now you guys are stuck I think. They just wanted to get into Vincents dream and fix it. : /

Vincent

The pink blossons fell around him, placing him in a surreal world. There was no one walking along in this cobblestone street lined with millions of cherry trees. There was not a soul except him and the faint chirping of the birds. He stepped forward unsure, and soon enough he reached out his hand and a small pink petal fell into it. Eventually it had just turned to dust.

Vincent turned around suddenly, his black hair whisping around him to see Joshua and Becca both standing there smiling.

"This is a dream, Vincent." Joshua spoke, eyes seemed to be brimmed with happiness.

"But how could it be a dream when I just witnessed Lilly die." Vincent stared at their figures marred in the perfect sunlight. They seemed to still smile at his comment, merriment and happiness. They smiled because it seemed it was the only emotion they could comprehend.

"Vincent," Joshua stepped towards him and placed his hand on his shoulder as if just the touch would be reasurring. Once it could have been, but now it seemed like that would never be possible. "Lilly is not dead, it was a nightmare. Have you not paid any attention to what we said?"

"I did pay attention but it makes no sense to me. I am the evil one here, I am the one who is supposed to not feel these emotions, this tiredness and desperation. All I want to do is see her, all I want to do is make sure she is alright."

"In a dream you can do that, Vincent." Becca spoke up now from behind Joshua. "Forget about your past, or your nightmare. This is where you can actually be happy."

"But what if happy is not what I want it to be like." He turned around then ready to walk away but he was halted in his steps by a glowing form further down the street.

She stood, floating off the ground ever so slightly, golden hair falling gently around her face, her white night gown billowing at her ankles. Elaine stood there, beautiful pristine white wings sprouting from her back, a golden halo inceasingly beautiful hung just above her head. Her arms were outstretched and there was a smile on her face.

"Vincent, I missed you." Her voice surrounding him yet her lips did not move. And he did not go to her, he did not run and hold her in his arms as he had for so long wanted.

"Leave me." Vincent spoke, "This is just a fake world that two dream creators made to demean me, to derrive me of my dignity. They are mocking me with this, mocking me with a fake aspiration which only causes me more pain." He fell to his knnes and covered his face. He did not want to cry, he did not want to be here any longer.

"Vincent," It was her beautiful voice again. He felt a touch on his shoulder and he automatically looked up and saw her. "How can they make me, when they don't even know who I am." She bent down, her face close to his. he could feel her breath against his face, he could see the beautiful blue clarity of her eyes.

"I love you,"

"As I love you." He felt her arms around him, and almost swiftly he was standing there, holding her hands and watching her smiling face. "But I do not want you to dwell on such simple things." She brushed her hand through his hair. "I want you to love again, I want you to be the Vincent I fell in love with. Don't hold onto me, because for the longer you do, it will cause you more pain."

In a blink of an eye she was away from him, back a distance on the road. "Vincent, we will see each other again, it doesn't matter how long it takes. Love has no bounds. And at this point in time, there is someone else who needs your love." And then as if an add on, he felt her lips against his, the passionate kiss unto which he would bestow her everyday. And as he reached up to her face, he felt the dampness of her tears. By the time he opened his eyes, she was gone.

"Lilly," Vincent spoke, realizing what truly she had meant. Vincent turned around to face the two of them, both still standing there smiling. "Thank you, for giving me the sweetest dream."

And then he woke up.

**Yay :D**

Joshua

I opened my eyes slowly, as to see the girl in which I loved so deeply asleep beside me, her face calm and eyes shut gently. How long had we been asleep on these concrete floors? I grimaced feeling a stab of pain in my head.

So I hit the concrete hard.

"Becca?"

Her nose scrunched, hand batting me off. I chuckled.

"Becca, wake up. We must go home."

"Wha?" She opened her eyes slowly then jumped up, surprised, mouth agape and hair spawled everywhere. I smiled.

"We did it." I caressed her cheek with my fingertips. After everything, we did it. We freed Vincent of his nightmare and made him see through the eyes of a human. We saved him."

"Did we?" She seemed surprised.

I looked at her for a few seconds then realized, with a bout of unpleasant nausea hitting my stomach. She didn't remember the dream at all. Vincent's nightmare was for his eyes only and since I bore one of his eyes, I saw it too. She no longer remembered.

"Yes, we did. You were amazing."

"I was?" She smiled. "Bloody hell, I can't remember a thing."

"It was nothing to grand. In the end it just took a few words of wise and he saw good again." I kissed her cheek softly. "Thanks to you."

Aw. (:

Becca

Why couldn't I remember. I felt Joshua's soft lips against my cheek. Even though I wanted to bask in this moment, I was still too confused.

"Thanks to me?" I asked. "Tell me everything."

Joshua made a funny sound. It was more along the lines of a groan mixed with laughter.

"You forgave Vincent, for one," he smiled. I nodded.

"I figured something like that. I mean, I just feel...differently about him. It almost feel bad about everything I've said to him," I frowned. Joshua put his finger to my cheek again.

"That is of the past," he said. I looked up and touched his black hair.

"You know, I first noticed you because of your hair," I laughed. "That crimson color. Now, I don't know. I just think this is part of you now."

I ran my hand down his hair. I really did love him. No matter what.

"Could you tell me more about William?" I asked, softly. Josh stiffened a little.

"Why?" He asked. He tried to keep his voice soft, but I could hear the emotion behind it.

"Well, I just always wanted to know more about him. He fasinated me," I admitted. I blushed a little. "I'm sorry for running away that time at the ball, by the way. It was just a shock."

**Ah the infamous William. This should be fun. :) oh and I have some ideas for a big ending plot twist but I don't know if this should end right away.**

Joshua

"I love you. The past means not." I loved the ease and freedom of letting everything out. Of speaking my mind. "And that is why I will tell you about my William."

I could hear my inner self purring happily. It had been a long time since I had spoken of king William, as it was always hard to.

"He was my mentor. My salvation." I turned my eyes towards the sky, smiling. "He was my grace and the first thing I saw in this life. We werent here from the beginning of eternity, seeing as he was so much bigger then me. An older brother, really, with those red locks of his."

"He sounded very kind."

"He was the kindest, and purest of them all." I felt as if I was bragging but he was my idol. My hero. "Of course, Vincent was always there and, for the most part, always smiling. He would only ever smile for William."

"Is that why Vincent is so sad for the most part?"

"There are many factors to the falling of Vincent." I chided. "Before us was two. Two single human beings in which were named kings of our realm. We were spawned from the likeliness of them, as a sort of gift to the lonely of heart. William took us all in as his own while Vincent was... not pleased with the idea. He had liked it best with just William and himself, where no one was to be hurt."

"That does make sense, but what a lonely life it would be..."

"He was not pleased at all with my own creation, as William had been. William watched me grow and then, when I could no longer grow, he became my friend. I never got used to people, nor have I thought about it till his departure. It was easier hiding myself in the castle of day with him and the gardens. I was safe and that was bliss."

"Is that why I never saw you till William's departure?" she asked, obviously intrigued with the story.

"I was fully alone without William." I shook with fear again, the pain of loneliness one that I hated more then anything. "But I met a few friends, like Jared, and I found being a normal dream creator was much more appealing then being what I truly was. The sole apprentice of William, the royal blood in my veins."

"The royal blood?" Her eyes widened surprised. "You dont mean..."

"No, it does not mean I am king," I chuckled. "As long as Vincent sits upon his throne of hatred, I will remain as I am. Peasant. I am no replacement for William nor would I be a replacement for Vincent. I am soley a different creation that could not coincide with the way things run for there is hate in me as is there light."

~~

**Yes that was a little long, but it explains a great deal**

It does. ^^ And very interesting. Also, I don't want this to end! It is by far my favorite storybook. (:

Becca

"I think you are a creature of light, Josh," I said. "There may be dark in you, as there is in all of us, but well, you know how I feel." I smiled at him.

I looked outside. Night? Was it really night already. I wanted to go outside. It really was beautiful outside. I remembered it from the ball.

I walked slowly towards the door and towards the garden. I smelled the rain before anything else. I laughed as I was immediately drenched. I heard Josh behind me.

"You know what I think?" I asked him.

"Hm?" Joshua responded.

"I think that you and Vincent really...share something with each other. I don't know how to explain it and I think it goes deeper than your new appearance," I told him.

"Yes, but what does this have to do with anything?" He asked.

"I don't think there could ever be a replacement for William, but if I had to pick anyone, it would be you," I said. Didn't he see? He and Vincent could do brilliant things together.

*Lilly*

I opened my eyes slowly. I was back in my chambers, alone, but the feeling of complete happiness was almost overwhelming.

I got up from my bed slowly, making sure that this wasn't my own personal dream. I knew I was being silly, but I was so afraid that this wasn't real...

I was in the process of getting into the shower when there was a knock on my door. I threw on my robe and opened the door. One of Vincent's messengers was standing there.

"You have been summoned by King Vincent, m'lady." he said.

I was careful not to smile. "Tell him I'll be there soon."

The messenger nodded and vanished, leaving me to get ready. I knew that I had to be careful and act like nothing had happened. I showered quickly and put on a tee shirt and faded ripped jeans, my favorite outfit. I put my hair into a ponytail and went out the door.

I poofed about halfway through the hallway to Vincent's throne room. The doors weren't open, so I knocked, and my heart fluttered when I heard his deep voice say, "Come in."

**Here's a small twist for you, Tiger**

Joshua

"It would be a lonely life, though."

"A lonely life?"

"Yes, Lonely." He smirked, reaching his hand out to her. "Have you ever questioned why there is no queen of dreams, no second throne?"

"Not really... it just kind of seemed the way it was on the throne."

"Ah, silly." He closed his eyes slowly. "The throne is a blessing and a curse. With all good comes bad and the bad is the responsibility. I would be a king, and in that, I would only have a half of myself to give. I would be lost."

"Lost?"

"I crave your presence more then any before but if I was to take throne I would only be a half of what I am now for you and in that I am half alone. William found more pain then joy in love, and in that, never took on a wife. He left because he fell in love and he knew if he brought her here he would only be half of what she needed. Half of what he couldn't be."

"But...Thats so sad..."

"I am no king so there really isnt anything to worry yourself over."

~~

**Incog and I were thinking of something interesting but it might be a little sad.**

**I want to know! (; I actually had an idea but it's sad too. I don't now.**

Becca

"But you could be a king," I sighed. "You know you could be a king, whether you admit it or not."

"Let's not worry about it. I know I am not a king and there is no sense in talking about it," he replied.

I nodded. I didn't want to talk about it either because I knew I would have to leave him. I couldn't be selfish and keep him from becoming a king, could I?

"Fine," I said softly. Why did things always have to be so difficult?

I yawned and looked at my watch. "It's nearly one in the morning," I laughed.

Joshua raised his eyebrows. "Then I shouldn't be keeping you," he said.

I sighed. "I don't want to leave just yet, besides, who needs sleep?" I asked, smiling.

Josh rolled his eyes a little and cocked an eyebrow. "It really is late though," he replied.

I shook my head. "I am not leaving and that is that."

**Oh, PM it to me :D**

Joshua

"How bout I walk you home then? Sound fair?"

She didn't seem to pleased with the idea but it was late and even if we were supernatural beings in a sense that we never die, we still needed our sleep and I wasn't going to be the one to hold her back from the long needed rest.

"It's 1 o clock in the morning and we're stuck in the castle of night. I know for a fact something will randomly pop out at us if we don't move so come on."

She grimaced but followed after him.

"Where do you live?" he hated the fact that he had to ask this question.

She stated her address as he pushed the large wooden doors open, letting her slide through and out into the open air. It was a glorious night, the stars twinkling ever so delicately. A night of peace.

"Kirei," He murmured under his breathe.

"So, now that all this drama is over with the Vincent, will you start helping me cure more nightmares?" She asked playfully.

"I don't think so." He chuckled. "Unlike you, I have a respect for the tainted's and a respect that there needs to be yin and yang. Can't have all the fun now can we?"

"You call scaring people fun?"

"I cant complain. Sometimes the really bratty ones deserve it." I smirked.

"You're silly, Joshua."

Becca

Whether I liked it or not Josh had changed. It wasn't a terrible change he just couldn't change all nightmares. I sighed. Would I have to keep part of myself secret from him?
He must know that I had to keep changing nightmares. That was part of me.

"What's wrong?" Joshua aked, queitly. I smiled a little and shook my head.

"Nothing. Just thinking," I replied.

"About what?" He questioned. I rolled my eyes at his persistance.

"Dreams." Joshua nodded. He must have guessed what I was thinking.

"Goodnight Josh. I wish you the sweetest of dreams," I smiled, giving him a hug and kising him lightly on the cheek. I didn't really want to get in a passionate embrace. My reluctance to leave him was already great enough as it was.
