This is based off of Assassins creed. The world will be different, but many things will be the same as well. Before i give any more description I just want to say that I would not like you to join unless you are dedicated. No offense to anyone, but I am tired of storybooks dying after a couple of pages because someone looses interest. That said, on with the description.
THE WORLD
The story will take place in a holy land very closely resembling the land fought over in the crusades. It is full of deserts, clear seas, and tall mountains. Near water the land is thick with impenetrable jungle. It is an inhospitable land, yet it has been the center of warfare over two hundred years. Of the three peoples existing there now, two have existed there for centuries, while one is a new comer seeking to reclaim the land that was promised to it by its gods.
The Khanates: The Khanate are a tall dark people that have lived in the country for centuries. They have a very old religion that they believe gives them the right to the land. They favor light, loose clothing generally made of silk, or other such rich material. They are very aloof and generally favor the positions of aristocrats.
The Cenarians:They share the same dark skin of the Khanates but they are shorter and generally more burly. Their religion is also very old, and some believe that its origins were the same as the Khanates. They are very hard working down to earth people. They favor darker clothing made out of tough fabrics like leather and lenin. They prefer to do meaningful work and take up jobs like blacksmiths and fletchers.
The Nords: The Nords are the white skinned people of the north. Their religion spread out of this land, and now they have come to reclaim what they believe to be rightly theirs. They are generally tall with light skin and blond hair. They take on a variety of different jobs and seem to have no racial preference. They have adapted their clothing style to that of the people they live around.
Most people alive do not remember when the feud started. For the commoners it is but background noise. But religious fanatics would not see an end to it. They have prolonged a conflict that by all means should have ended long ago. In the past several years there has however been a unsteady peace. That peace is on the edge of a sword and is about to fall. The Nords have discovered powerful artifacts that they intend to use to obliterate the Khanates, and the Cenarians.
THE ASSASSINS
The brotherhood is a group of warrior assassins that keeps the peace. They operate in the shadows and keep total war from erupting. The brotherhood operates by a simple code that they use to rule the night:
1. never stain your blade with the blood of an inoccent
2. Hide in plain sight
3. Never compromise the brother hood
The brotherhood is located in a small mountain stronghold that is a secret in plain sight. Everyone knows it is there, but no one knows the Assassins are based there. Every assassin has a rank:
Student
Novice
Average
Warrior
knight
Master
There are three masters that rule the assassins. They assign the hits, and create the strategies. All of them are master assassins that sometimes take missions if they are high priority (I will play them in the beginning). Your job will be to try to keep the peace and contain the conflict. You will be given jobs ranging from assassination to information planting. You will travel all over the land and visit each of three cities. Acre, the Nord city, Damascus, the Khanate city, and Aden the Calderian city. There are many other cities you will travel too but those are the biggest in the region.
RULES
- Your character does not have to be an assassin, but he must be affiliated with them in some way (I.E. a corrupt city guard that gives information to the brotherhood etc.)
- Killing. You can kill anyone you want and the brotherhood will protect you from the normal law, but they will exact their own on you if you break the code. You are trained killers so you are good at what you do, but you are not gods. You can be killed, and you do mess up.
- Magic. It exists in the form of talent, most people have it, but most in doses to small to really do anything, or they are oblivios to the fact that they have it. You may have talent, but it is not all powerful, it is quickly expended, and can only be recharged by resting. Each persons talent adapts to however the user needs it most, so be creative. There are mages, but again, they are rare.
- Technology. Technology is that of the middle ages (swords, bows, etc.). Items can be magically enhanced, and there are powerful magic artifacts, but the Masters have control of them.
- Relationships. You are assassins. Hard killers. This is not your best area. Some may try it, but most will shun it. An assassin who loves, is an assassin that can be killed. If you do try a relationship you may have sex, but no descriptions what so ever.
