Shuan:

Shuan caught the package as it fluttered to the ground. It was a black cd sleeve; the disc inside glimmered in the tail lights of Mr. Lombriti's car.

" Nice, outfit," Shuan said, looking at the gothic loleta. "You been working for the colors long or..."

  She looked down and realized that she wasn't dressed exactly like a color. "um... I was..." She began but was interrupted by Shuan.

  "Never mind, it doesn't matter, I guess your with me. A test for both of us." Shuan grabbed his bag from the ground and walked inside of the burger bar, "Thanks, for rescuing me back there. My name is Shuan."

He reached for his laptop from his bag and popped the disk in. A flash screen starts running and a password prompt appeared.

“Great,” he muttered, “I don't know the password do you?”

“I am sure it is part of the test,” Sam shrugged. She didn't really think that was part of the test but it was funny to make him squirm.

Shuan shut the laptop and packed it back into his bag.

“ Ok, lets find a hacker. Ya know any?” he knew that she would even before he asked.

“Ya. There is this kid, Deep Throat, lives over in wormwood glen lets get a move on I don't have all night.” she said this without putting effort into staying in character.

Deep Throat was a small weaselly guy the kind of guy that you could see as forty-six and still living in his moms basement. He wasn't of course. He was only nineteen but well on the right path to his fate. The time that they spent at his house was awkward but luckily it only took him a few minutes to crack the code. The scrawny computer nerd provided them this the needed password for a mere 65 dollars fee and sent them on their way.

The flash program loaded once more but this time they were armed with the password they were granted access to a file. A body of text stared back at him but it was the pictures the drew his attention. The first was a young girl that looked like someone in his western civ class, only this picture showed her sprawled out against a cold hardwood floor blood soaked through her sun flower yellow dress. The second was of a girl named Scarlett, she was a Thespian that had been working for the colors. The picture was a grainy one the kind you would see on a security cam and Shuan wouldn't be surprised to read that it was, In fact it was a picture of her leaving the theater around the same time the fight broke out. “ blah blah blah, last seen, blah blah blah.” he said as he scanned the file. “wait so this is a baby sitting mission, I didn't sign up for this.” Sam said angrily.

“ we just need to find her she was suppose to check in and didn't. I guess we should start at her place.” he said as he got up. He didn't care if she followed him and wasn't happy about having to do this let alone getting saddled with a escort.

Emma Watson sat attentively with one finger pressed snugly in one ear to the buzzing hum from the old police radio. The night had been dull until this crackling voice serrated the silence. Her face turned green just listening to it.

“Dispatch, this is Officer Kirsh. Responded to the two-forty-five here on Weever Avenue. Door was closed and locked so I wasn't able to get inside. I'm looking for backup, here. I think the intruder still might be inside.”

And so, after hours of trudging through government bureaucracy the doors are lockpicked and the cops are allowed entrance. A choir of gasps whisper through the night.

“Dispatch... dear god... this is Officer Kirsh. Not only was the girl killed, Emma. No, we found the dad, the mom, and the little sister.”

No name was ever linked to that crime. No witnesses were ever recovered. The Kenning families murder would forever go unsolved.

**Sorry >< I'll PM Ech and try and get her back in. And how long should it be before the students find out Scarlett's dead and the war's gone through the roof?**

He glanced across at Emily, "Well, I've really only just started learning this piece, so I guess she'd be the best one to fill you in on everything. I'll try out the bass part now, though." He put aside his guitar and took out his bass, taking a look at the tabs for it.

As he started playing the piece, he looked from one band member to the other, "You guys heard about this new peace group? People trying to stop all the fights between the Goths and the Colours? I'm not normally up for getting involved in all that crap, but I mean, if I'm going to get dragged into it, which I'm sure I eventually will be, that's where I want to be."

"Yeah, I agree with you. I'm totally for it," Carlie said while glancing at Andy. She liked the way he thought, and she hoped that the band would be part of a new non-war era in the school. She turned back to the song that Emily had written, it was really good, Emily really had a talent for this. "You know Em, this is awesome. Where do you get your inspiration?"

Shuan:

"She is dead," Shuan spoke softly into the phone.

The scene of the bodies being rolled out of the house in body bags kept looping in his mind. The flashing red and blue light and the way the light fog hung low made it all seem so unreal. He knew that his dreams wouldn't be the same for years to come, but soon he would end this war.

"What?" Lombardi's voice almost growled from the other end
"Someone took Scarlett out along with her whole family."
"this does not bode well for us, you hear me I needed you to get the information she gathered for me and now you come to me with this. Alright, i need you to find out the who and take care of it, got it?"
"Yeah, I will see what i came come up with and if you hear anything else..."
"I will keep you in the loop just get it done."

Shuan hung up the phone and looked over at Sam. "I need to do something but Mr. Lombardi needs you to gather what information that you can about who did this." She nodded and walked off into the shadows.

Shuan watched as the last cop car left.It was already 12:15 am but he need to get this information before anyone else could. he put his batting gloves on and walked quickly towards the back door. the police had left the door unlocked which made it much easy to get in than he thought it was going to be. The house smelt like wet paint not wet paint but something close to that. he walked threw the house and found Scarlett's room easily, he just had to look for the rook that had the most blood splated against the floor. Scarlett's room had been rifled through by the police. I might not find it Shuan thought to himself but just as he saw a red purse lying on her closet floor. She never wore a purse he realized. He picked up the purse and it felt empty, but after looking through it he found a flash drive. He would have to wait to see what was on it but he thought this was mostlikely the intell that she had found. as he was making his way out of the house his phone rang.

"hello," Shuan whispered into the phone.
"It looks like a guy named Mikael bought two guns and a bunch of ammo tonight."
"I'll go talk to him I am on Weaver st. right now but he only leaves a few houses over."
"If this S.O.B. is the one that whacked Scarlett i need you to bring him to me."
"Understood." Shuan hung up the phone. He didn't want to tell mr Lombardi abou the information because it might be enough to end the war.

Sam~~

Maria Chalona typed dully on her laptop as her boss talked on the phone and pretended to work. She already knew most of the information but had Sty really gone through with the mission? Her mind swam in circles, she slapped her laptop shut as a car pulled up beside Shaun.

"Come on now, you don't have to be anywhere tonight do you?" Shaun motioned for Maria to get in the car and she did obediently.

"Nope free the whole night!" She smiled as the car pulled off she recited information, "A guy named Teddy was supposed to come as her tutor and did supposedly show up. He was the last person to enter and leave the house witnesses say."

"How do you know that?"

"I know the family, did some paperwork for them once."

"Oh,"

"Where are we going?" Maria asked as she looked out the window to the nearby surroundings.

"A guy named Mikael bought a whole lotta guns, let's say that." He sighed.

*Shall we fast forward time to the next school day?*

Styler had never killed anyone this way. The thought made his spine feel like ice.

With the careful grace of a spider dropping down a single line of web, Styler lowered himself into the glowing blue server room. The choir of computer monitor hums covered the soft tap his foot made as he touched the ground. He froze a moment anyway, eyes locked on the door.

All was quiet. All was safe. For now.

With a calculated two minutes and thirty seven seconds until the hall monitor passed by, he was safe and sound. But he had to work quickly and more importantly quietly. He unclipped the carabiner from his rappelling gear and briskly stepped to the door. Cautiously, he gave it a check and twisted.

Hmm, Styler mused, There's some privy information in here. So, why is it unlocked?

He adjusted the black ski mask over his face so he could glance from corner to corner and noticed one of the screens of the dual PC's was not the normal blue. The world spun as he realized there was either a visitor still here, or soon to be back. The room was wider than it needed to be but bared no exit than the main one. There was a desk with the two computers, a fax/photocopier and a few filing cabinets but otherwise had no real place to hide. Styler confirmed the latter.

Its a good thing door jams work both ways. He placed the brown stub in position. It wouldn't hold for too long but it was enough to let him make an escape. If he worked assiduously and with a little dash of luck they would chalk it up to a freak accident. One of those things that could only happen once in a lifetime.

That assurance pressed him to continue; he reached into the shirt pocket of his black BDU shirt and retrieved a small flash drive, placing it into the PCs' slot. A few keystrokes later and the the home made program on it allowed access to its system. He reminded himself to thank his hacker buddy, Gaz.

A cold chill crept up on him like a thief in the night. His gut punched him awake and his steel eyes shot backwards behind him. A shadowy silhouette stood in the window of the door way. It stared right at him.

The frog in his throat strangled him as he watched, in silent terror, the gold knob slowly spin.

“... Yeah, Charlie,” the voice on the other side of the door said, “Yeah. I'll get it taken care of.”

The voice responded in a muffled tone that Styler couldn't quite make out but deduced from the next comment that it was some sort of project the which the two were in process of completing.

“... well, what the hell, Charlie? He wants one posted everywhere? Principal Carter says we gotta get it done within the hour and I got stuff to do. Why the hell can't you help me do it?”

It spoke again. This time he couldn't discern it. He checked the computer screen. 52% complete.

Damn.

“Alright! Alright, already. I'll do it. I'll do it.”

The door swung open without a hitch. The silhouette, an instructor by the name of Bill Hassley, walked into the room and sat at the chair. With a tilted glance Bill considered the computer screen.

61% complete.

His heart raced as fast as he spun. Directly behind him were the cold grey eyes of a boy dressed in all black clothes, a ski mask, and barrel of a silenced 9 mil pointed at his left eye. Door was closed. How did he close the door?

“Walked into the wrong room, mate,” the boy growled in a hoarse low tone.

“What do you want?”

“Information. You're going to give it to me.”

“Like what?”

“Like the project you're working on for starters.”

The man swallowed hard. He twisted and turned in his seat. Styler enjoyed the brief minute “convincing” him. The end result however was foreboding. Principal Carter had taken sides. Principal Carter was issuing a permanent cease to all skateboards, bikes, rollerblades, and etcetera on or within 100 meters of Trenton High School campus.

The status meter read 100 percent.

Teddy McCalvin never attended Trenton.

Teddy McCalvin never existed.

Antonio Lombardi---

Toni bore holes into the boy's soul with raging eyes of contempt. Everything he needed Scarlett was supposed to handle. What the hell happened to Scarlett? How did anyone find out!?

“Pl-please, Toni. I wasn't thinkin', I guess! I shoulda followed her in! I know! Just, please. Don't hurt me.”

This plea lightened his heart a bit though he mentally damned himself for sending a freshman to do a juniors job. However, he was confident Shaun could get it done. Still, retribution must be extracted. He flashed his devils grin and slammed his hand hard down on Lil Jonny's shoulder. The boy remained frozen on his toilet seat as Antonio twisted the silencer onto his baby eagle.

“Jonny Jonny...” he shook his head.

Jonny quivered and shrank, “Toni! We known eachother since we was six. You know me! You know I ain't this way. I got stupid... my gal an-”

Ferociously, Lombardi interrupted him with his clenched fingers around his cheeks pressing him back, hard, into the porcelain fixture. The gun pressed into the place where his nose met his inner eye.

“Don't make any fucking excuses. This was you're job and you failed so take it like a man.”

The boy wailed, “Oh please, Lombardi! Please! Don't! Do anything you want. Just don't kill me!”

Toni released him a little bit.

“Just... just don't mess up my face, okay? The Cotton Ball is this friday night. First dance of the year. My lady'd KILL me if I missed it.”

The tenacity.

“Failure is to be made an example of, Jonny. Its just biz.”

He put two bullets into the kids head and backed out of the stall.

“Marco. Handle this. Spread a rumor about some Goth bein' in here at the same time, capice?”

Marco nodded.

With a sigh, Toni left the bathroom, removing the latex gloves on his hands and discarding them into a nearby trash. He had plans for that school dance. Big plans. Plans that Scarlett had retrieved and now... to see Shaun.

**I am going to get caught up with everyone so, I am sorry this is so long**

Shuan:

It was late at night when Shuan and Sam pulled up in front of the small brick house that Mikael's family lived in. It was an old part of town, old apartments and abandoned factories that once housed the life blood for Trenton lined the streets here. Shuan's mind was filled with too many things and the length of this night were wearing on him.

"All right kiddo, do you want first or second shift?" Shuan asked forgetting the formality he had been using before.
"Kiddo?" She seemed more than a little offended at his chose of words.
"I think that we need to get him when he lives his house. I don't know about you but I am getting sleepy, so first or second?"
"I am not tried, so I will take first."
"It's settled then, I am going to leave you here with the car and walk home to get a blanket and then I'll sleep in the back seat. Then when you get tired just wake me and I will watch."
"Whatever."
The walk from Mikael's house to Shuan's would only take ten minutes if he ran and that would buy him enough time to check the flash drive and see what was on it. The cold night's air felt great against his face as he dashed home. Maybe coach is right, he thought, realizing that this short run was beginning to wind him. He dashed up the drive and through the front door. The buzzing the television let Shuan know that his mother was home and most likely drunk, passed out in front of the t.v. which meant that his father wouldn't be coming home again tonight. When he reached his room with computer was already on - he only had to pop the flash drive in. A window popped up that contained only one file "AX27UE9". Shuan loaded it with notepad as it seemed to be a RTF file. The words read slowly across the screen;
Council experiment A 27
The subjects were put in place on jan 31 1976. Each were taught in semi isolation to beleive that a war exists. test subjects in group A where picked for athletic proess and Test group B for artistic. ...

Shuans eyes only scanned that far before this mind raced with thought; Wait we are part of some experiment? Scarlett had stumbled on to something big. He knew that he didn't have time to read it now but that this also wasn't the information that Lombardi was looking for. He saved the file to his itunes folder naming it "Britney_Spears_:_Lucky" he knew that no one would find it then. The hall closet had several blankets in it so he grabbed two and went down stairs. His earlier guess about his mother was correct, she laid half on the couch and half on the floor with bottles of cheap vodka cluttering the near by coffee table. They weren't poor by any means but they weren't rich either, so to be capable of supporting her drinking habits she had taken to buying the worst bottom shelf vodka she could find. Shuan lifted his mothers body to the couch and laid one of the blankets over her.

"I love you." he said kissing her forehead.

He returned to the car to find Sam taking a sip from a flask.
"Sorry that took me so long." Shuan whispered as he shut the door quietly
"It wasn't that long," she responded "want some?" she offered him the flask.
"What is it?" he asked putting it to his lips,
"Coffee, Its a little cold but its good."
He took a sip- it was a medium roast that tasted like it had a hint of French vanilla in it.
"Thank you" he said handing it back to her, "I am going to crash, wake me when you get tired."
"Okay," she said leaning over the front seat so that he could hear her hushed words from the back. The dress was pulled tight against her body to the point that Shuan felt he should almost apologize for seeing her breast.

The rays of first light woke Shuan up and he jumped with a start not recognizing his surroundings at first.
"morning Sleepy head." Sam said. She was now dressed in a black business skirt, white sweater top and high lace boots.
"When did you change?"
"About an hour and a half ago, a girl has to look good ya know."
As this was spoken The two heard a door close. Mikael was making his way down his walk.
"Lets go." she said opening the door.
The two made their way over to him quickly.
"Hey, you're Mikael, right?" Shuan said in a friendly way, "We go to the same school. I am Shuan."
Mikael looked worried about the two approaching him.
"Want a ride to school?"
"No I think I am okay."
"Look man we aren't going to hurt you or anything. Did you hear about Scarlett?"
"No, What happened?"
"She was murdered last night. Anyway I don't know about you but I don't feel safe. I just thought you might like a ride."
"Sure man," Mikael said agreeing.
Had Shuan been more awake or maybe paying more attention he would have seen - a look on Sam's face that betrayed her but only for a moment, and the fact that as they were walking up Mikael put his hand in his pocket all to quickly - but both of these things were lost on him.

The three got in the car and started to drive toward the school. Shuan texted Mr. Lombardi: We have him and are on our way...

Sam/Maria~~

Scarlett was dead?

Thoughts raced through her mind as the darkness of night settled around her. The only light came from the barely illuminated (I doubt you could count them as street lights) lanterns that lined the street every ten feet or so. Sam sighed, something about this specific mission made her want to run out of the car and back home to her cosey on bedroom apartment, nothing was right. A person from school was dead, they suspected another of killing the poor girl and Styler was somehow thrown into the mix. Sam drained the flask and proceeded to look for any disturbances in the darkness, what was she supposed to be looking for anyway?
Atleast after an hour and a half of complete boredom and watching for any stray goth girls running around named Zetra a slick black car silently pulled up next to the already present black one. The window glided down and a hand reached out, motioning for Sam to come, she was relieved to find it her real boss. She slipped out through the open window and silently stepped around to the other door to slip in.

"How's the mission going babe?" Griffin puffed out his cigarette's air, the car was full of it.

"Don't call me that," Sam answered, "Why did you come here?"

"Ahem, your tone distorts your question," The dark haired man smiled evilly.

"Sir," She corrected, "Why are you here?"

"To visit my super spy babe!" He exclaimed. Sam clenched her fists, she hated Griffin, she loathed Griffin to a point if she were given the choice of world peace or personally setting Griffin on fire she would exclaim "Screw you all! Fire in the hatches!" and proceed to do so.

"Also my own boss needs an update," He sighed.

She filled him in for an exchange of more comfortable looking clothes.

~~~
Curse it to hell! Mikael stepped out of the house and towards the parked car that was now beckoning for him to come closer. Sam knew him alright, a face of downright confusion crossed her brow but she smoothed it over with an expert smile. The car's ignition started off and pulled out of the small street they were on.
"But school is that way.." Mikael pointed the opposite direction, "And why is there a blanket back here?"
Sam noticed Shaun's knuckles get white as he clutched the wheel.
"Oh we forgot to ask! Do you mind if we take a quick coffee break?" She turned in the seat to meet Mikael's eyes, "We have been up all night." She caught his glance and then made him follow her eyes to the blanket.
"Oh.. Okay.." He mumbled then silence ensued, Sam didn't care what he thought, for she was Maria anyhow.
Shaun's fists gradually turned back to their normal color and they pulled up to a large grey blob of a building.
The one who smiles the most has something to hide.
*i know i haven't been in for ages but id really like to rejoin. here goes nothing...*
Mackenize Havenough
Staring out of the window at a group of thespians rehearsing on the field and wondering where Mikael had gotten to I felt my souvenir from yesterdays fight -a small dent on the right hand side of my forehead just hidden by my fringe.
"Mackenize." A whisper from my left brought me back to the double maths class I was meant to be paying attention to. I looked round to see everyone had stopped working and, along with the teacher, were watching me silently.
"Havenough," the teacher, Mr Kain, started his short rant, "I know your buddy Mikael isn't here to give you the answers but at least pretend you care what's going on in this lesson." In response I just shrugged and turned back to the window. I could sense Kain's butt-cheeks tightening, but I didn't care. This wasn't like Mikael, where'd he got to?
"This is my plan of attack"
"Hmmm, looks more like a pin to me"
"No, it's definitely a tac"
Mikael
There was deffinitely something weird going on. I didn't even know these people yet they knew from the minute i stepped out of the house. Still i hadn't seen Mackenzie yet to give him his present so worst case senario i had two semi auto pistols and a f*** load of ammo. My phone buzzed in my pocket. It was Mac.
"Hey man whats up?"
"Where are you?" He asked sounding worried.
"Im getting a lift to school with" i looked at them questioningly
"Im Maria and this is Shaun" replied the girl.
"Oh yeah Shaun and Maria."
"Alright man but your pretty late."
"We stopped for a coffee break. These too have been up all night doing um i don't know but anyway see you in a bit. And stay safe man. This war is now way out of hand so you better get ot work on something serious."
"Alright bye" i put my phone back in my pocket and reclined my chair.
I have looked into the eye of the storm and stared it down. I am an adrenaline junky and i know no fear.
