Lily

Skidding to a halt in front of the cafe, Lily heard shouts coming from inside. She ran inside. A black haired guy was battling men with guns. He shot electricity toward their faces, sending them flying back. He's like me, Lily thought.

He turned around and gave her a sharp, piercing glare. She shook it off as gunshots rang out. Shuttering, she created a wall of fire between them and the men. "Lets go!" she called to him as she ran out. The fire wouldn't last forever.

Jordan

Sometimes, the best way of not being caught was to just stand in plain sight and look as though you belonged there. Jordan achieved this not by disguising himself as a businessman or a cop, but rather by looking like an apathetic teenager who'd as soon as graffiti your wall as lean on it.

He'd been off the radar for several weeks now, and devoted all of his time to trying to track down the bastard agent who'd betrayed his family to the British. Of course, he had to maintain a particular profile, and had been brought in by the police a few times for minor offences, enough to build up a small safety net.

But when a girl who had to be under ten raced past him, and several men with guns followed about a minute later, he knew he had to do something. She had to be one of his kind, otherwise that many wouldn't be so heavily armed in her pursuit. "Get back here, Jen!" one of the shouted.

He'd barely thought about it before he stepped forward, stretching his arms out, touching two men right in the centre of their chests. He didn't have to make contact to drain someone's life force, but it was much faster when he made direct contact with his target. In this case, he concentrated hard enough to rip their souls straight out of their chests. A green glow suffused his hands for a moment, and then he slammed his right hand into a third one, sending him careering through the air and through a second story window above them.

"Christ." One of the remainder shouted, "She's got backup!"

"That's right." he said, playing on their obvious fear that he'd been waiting for them, "So, who's next?"

Jen-

I skidded to a stop right there, once I heard that there were no more footsteps following me. Why would the big people just stop like that? Something must have stopped them. But what? I peeked around the corner, and there was a boy standing there, looking at the big men. Three of them were down on the ground already.

"Wow," I whispered. I was sure that my eyes were really big, just like Cali's when she saw something she thought was cool. I blinked, and the boy turned to look at me. "Hi," I said, waving, like Ms. Katerine taught me to do. She said it was the polite thing to do. Whatever polite means.

Benji climbed to his feet and squinted at the hole in the ground that wasn't there two seconds ago. Half of his clothes where burnt, his skin covered in black and the lunch he had so carefully prepared was now fried to a crisp.

He had... Been walking down the street... He turned to the direction he came from and scratched his head. Lightening? No, that's not right. No storm.

Then again, the city was starting to explode into chaos. People where running. Buildings where burning.

'Lightening,' he scowled, making a brief attempt to dust off his clothes. That's when he became aware of the people staring at him. He looked at his hands, where the scorched skin was turning pink, repairing itself like cloth being stitched together. 'What an idiot.'

That's when one of the military men who'd swarmed the area stopped running with the others. He looked at Benji, who took a deep breath and pelted down the road, taking as many twists and turns as he could manage.

He almost ran straight into a kid, which was when he saw the rest of them, all cluttered and backing away from one boy with his arms outstretched. The lone soldier who had followed him held up his gun. Benji stepped in front of the girl instinctively and swore aloud as the following three bullets hit him.

Genevieve~

An enormous fight was breaking out. I could feel it in the ground as numerous souls were released. I followed the trail hoping to know more. I always stuck my head in matters that weren't always my concern. It was instinctual, I didn't really think before I did it.

I saw them. The men who had always been chasing me with machine guns. I'd like to see them burn once and for all. I came from behind them, camouflaged in shadow. I sent a fireball that collided with the side of the truck. I saw the last survivor. A pitiful man. Did he deserve to live?

I think not. Shadows suffocated and hell took his ghost. Perfect ending. But around us panic had begun to set in as the flames from an unknown source ravaged the city.

Jordan

Jordan gave the kid a smile and a wave as she peeked around the corner again.

The guards took the brief moment of respite to get themselves into more strategic positions, training their guns on him. He heard murmured conversation from two of them, “Sir, what should we do?” “I just ran this guy through the Interpol channel for the Others. Says we shouldn’t try to bring him in without one of his own kind on our side.” There was a pause, “Shoot to kill.”

Jordan had started running the second he heard the word ‘Interpol’. He knew what the orders on him were. He grabbed Jen by the shoulder and pulled her back behind cover as the soldiers stood up from their spots and started firing.

Bullets ricocheted off the wall just as he made it around. “Stay here.” He told her. Two of the men continued firing, he knew that the others would be using their opportunity to work their way into a better position.

Jordan kicked a garbage can, channelling some kinetic energy into it to send it flying out. Both soldiers started firing on it for a few fatal moments before they realised what Jordan was doing. He stepped out from behind the wall, arms stretched out towards them, and drained their lives as he charged them down.

One of the remaining three, still in a position where he could fire, raised his rifle. Jordan broke his hold on the two for a moment to drive a charged fist into the new man’s face, sending him flying backwards.

Then he finished off the two. Now…where are the others? A scream from the kid brought his head up, and he raced back around the corner to grab one of her attackers by the forehead. The man’s eyes rolled back and his knees buckled.

But then the last man let go of Jen to put the barrel of his pistol against the side of Jordan’s head, “Boy did you mess up this time, Reid.”

RYAN~~

I heard the scream from my spot. and i slowed my dissent looking down at a few men, one was pointing a gun to someones head. i quickly brought my self down and started shooting lightning at the men. I landed on the ground checking my watch, i had a minute till i could change powers then i turned back to the pair.

"hey,i'm Ryan and we need to get out of here" i spoke then with a punch propelled them and myself up in a gravity less beam.

"this is Jen, and I'm Jordan" said the boy.

"nice to meet you" i said. "so you want me to bring you somewhere special or will anywhere do for you two"

name- Lacey Dreadth

age- 17

gender- Female

race- Other

personality- She always seems calm on the surface, but is ready to break. Her powers make it hard for her to be in a crowd because there is so much pain surrounding her.. Once she decides something, it’s hard to convince herself that she’s wrong. Lacey cares about other people and hates to feel their pain (though she sometimes uses it to block her own.)

history- When she was very little, she was taken by the government. One of the agents finally grew a conscious and helped her escape. The agent died as they were escaping. She lived off of the street for most of her life, except when people brought her in every once in a while.

powers- She can feel others emotions and can manipulate them to a certain degree. She is extremely fast and has perfect reflexes. Lacey is also a black belt in several different martial arts, they were sort of programmed into her. She can also tell when someone is lying.

flaw- Others people’s emotions sometimes cloud her own and, if they’re strong enough, can cause her physical pain. If a lot of people with pent up emotions surround her, she has seizures. Because of this, she has a fear of crowds. If she runs at her top speed for a long time, her muscles can stop working and she collapses and can barely move for hours, and barely walk after that for about 24 hours.

other- up for love

Jen-

One of the big men had the gun against the head of the boy who helped me. My eyes widened, and I knew I had to do something. I glanced around, but there wsa nothing that could help me. I frowned. There had to be something! I looked up at the man. He was tall, had black hair and green eyes. He was wear-

He had green eyes! I could see his eyes! But I gotta do it quick, because when people point guns at other people, the other people don't last long. I started to sing a lullabye that Ms. Katerine taught all of us. Please let this work. Because then the boy would die and he wouldn't be able to do stuff anymore.

The man looked like he was going to fall over, but then he stood normally again. He turned to me, and I smiled. This was going to be a lot easier. "Okay now, I want you to take the gun and shoot yourself, mkay?"

**Alright, we need to start reading previous posts more carefully, because a few people have messed up posts. And yes, I realise I'm one of them**

Jordan

It took him a few seconds to get his bearings. After the gun had been put against his head, everything had seemed to happen at once. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw more soldiers approaching them, and then a bolt of lightning cut them down. The kid started singing, the gun dropped away from his head, and he spun at the sound of more gunfire, seeing a newcomer step between the shooter and the kid, taking three bullets for his troubles. Another bolt of lightning arced down and hit the soldier, and then a boy was standing with them.

As he grasped a hold of what was happening, he saw the kid smile at the last standing soldier – the one who had almost shot him. “Okay now,” she said, “I want you to take the gun and shoot yourself, m’kay?” With no small amount of shock, Jordan watched as the soldier did exactly what he was told. A girl of that age…making a man do that do himself without a qualm. It was chilling, even to someone who drained souls out of people.

One of the newcomers, Ryan, he’d said his name was, seemed to reverse gravity around them, and the four of them were lifted into the air. The boy who’d been shot defending Jen stood up, brushing himself off as if the bullets hadn’t even hit him. No else seemed to have realised what Jen had done. “We need to get out of the city altogether. The governments will be turning this city into a battleground if we stay here.”

*Thanks for the sum up Billy*

Benji looked down at the ground that was steadily getting further away.

'Can we fly like this?' He asked, making an attempt to swim through the air. 'How high can we go?' He looked around for a few seconds and sighed. 'How fast?'

Ryan grinned. 'Fast,' he answered.

In his mind Benji was already preparing himself to race around the world, until two people caught his eye (Lily and Trace). One was a teenage girl who still had flickers of sparks shooting through any metal she passed.

'Her!' He yelled. 'I'll bet anything she's the one who electrocuted me. Come on, make them fly; she owes me lunch.'

'Can't you be just a little more serious,' Jordan said bitterly.

'I'm seriously hungry.'

Ryan~~

"okay" i said then i made it so we were all propelled by the gravity around us. We landed next to them and the hyper boy looked happy. "that was fast, and cool" h said then walked over to the girls.

Jen-

I cocked her head, watching everyone. The flying was kinda fun, but I didn't want to do it again. Something that Ms. Katerine said about flying is bad. It sounded weird, but oh well. Ms. Katerine knows what everyone can do. It was very quiet at the moment, and nobody looked like they wanted to talk. "Is something wrong?" I asked.

Everyone ignored me, and that started to make me angry. Ignoring people is not good, Ms. Katerine said. So these people were not good?
