What a great first day. I mean, first I set my hair on fire (it was put out in time that I didn’t lose anything, darn blow dryer), then I nearly break my leg on the stairs. Oh, and I was going to miss the first three periods for traffic. I guess it could have gone worse— Oops. Knock on wood. So yeah, things had gone just swell.

Here we were, sitting in our insanely hot Jeep, the middle of traffic, just me and Dad. Whoopee. I gazed out the window and sighed.

“Hey, Kiddo, it’s not going to be so bad,” said Dad as he turned up the AC. He still didn’t get that it was broken.

Yeah, but I still think it was better when I could walk downstairs in my pajamas and have Mom teach me, I thought. In my pajamas. Alone. Why doesn’t he get that I’m shy??

Once the traffic jam got moving again it turned out we had only been a block from my new school. This was going to feel so weird.

“You’re going to be great,” he said as I got out of the car and grabbed my luggage. He gave me a kiss on the cheek on drove away. I watched with longing eyes. He left me. I sighed and grabbed my stuff.

********

Uh, I think she needs a dorm room, but I’m not sure if that’s how this school works…. Uhhhh….

Does Alyse's room still have room for people? Because we've got two new girls today... how many are there to a room?

MATT

After my little display I could feel everyones eyes on me. I pulled may to the courtyard, shushing all of her questions. When we were free of questioning glances I dropped onto a bench and May sat next to me.

"Will you please explain to me how you did that?" It was the first time I'd ever heard her worried. I didn't like it.

"My dad is a professional fighter, he taught me most everything he knew. When I left I was better than him, because I was faster. Right now, I'm probably one of the most dangerous people in this school."

"Well why dont you fight?"

"I find no use for it. All its ever done for me was create ennemies, and relieve stress and anger."

When I said anger I clenched my hands at my side. I had always had a really bad anger problem, and right now I wanted more than nothing else to go back to the lunch room and break a few bones in that jocks body for what he had been about to do to May.

I let out a long breath and looked back at her. She looked pale, but she looked fine.

"Can you distract me please?"

She looked confused for a second, so I motioned back towards the entrance to the caffeteria.

"Oh... We could go for a drive?"

I shook my head, "I'm probably already going to get sent to the principles office, and if I leave now it will be a while until I come back and then we will both be in trouble."

"Oh right."

I looked at her, "You ok?"

She looked at me incredulously, "Me? Are you ok? You were just in a fight, and you're asking ME if I'M ok!"

"You look a little sick."

"A little sick?! You are bleeding from your eye!"

My hand shot up to my right eye. nothing. it moved to my left and came away wet. Shit. I probed gently for the cut and found it. it was just over the eyebrow, not serious, but it would bleed alot.

"Calm down, it's not serious. It'll stop bleeding in a second."

"No", she said firmly, "You are going to the doctor right now."

I looked at her face to try and convince her that it was pointless, but she was set on getting me to the office. I sighed and let her drag me to the nurse.

The fix up took only a couple of seconds, and I did most of it myself, but the questioning took longer. After it was all done, I was told to go to class, not the principals, 'because it was the first day of school' but if I did it again, I would get detention for a week. I gave my apologies and walked out with May, who had stayed with me the whole time.

*sorry its long*

*Each room (301, 302, etc.) has a different amount of beds in it. Mine has two, while Mays has four I think. So It all depends on what you want.

*Punched someone? [Le Gasp] Wow. I usually just let my anger build up inside me then mumble jibberish in a really high-pitched voice and shake my head then throw socks at the wall. So... anyone going to post who's with Alyse? I've been Uber-bored since I got home.*

*A ha ha! Its all right. This is going to be a touching breakthrough moment between you and May. ;) I wouldn't want Alyse to stumble in and be all: "Are you all right?" and stuff. I'll live.*

*Ok, a little confused here. May and Matt are in the courtyard. Marianne and Chad are somewhere. Alyse, Nick, and I are in the cafeteria...*
*Yeah, sometimes I check from my phone. I don't post though. Just check.*
*I'll have Alyse and I go to the dorm room and you can meet us there, Kristine*

I was glad I actually got to talk to my own roommate. I hadn't really had a true conversation since I arrived. We kinda just walked around the cafeteria. She introduced me to the skater/freakishly smart guy named Nick. I secretly was jealous of him. It was pretty obvious he was taking all advanced classes. I was a grade behind.

"Wanna go back to the dorms? We still have some time left before class." I said.

"Sure."

It was kinda awkward just standing around while Matt and May were having their little moment.

As we walked down to the dorms, I wondered if I would ever have a little moment.

"You ok? You look kinda pale." Alyse asked.

"No, I'm not ok. You know what? I just got the greatest idea." I said.

"What?" Alyse asked. I'm pretty sure she was surprised to hear me speak for so long.

"There's so many new girls coming. We should all go out after school!" I said, excitedly. I think I drank too much Red Bull energy drink. Or maybe I was changing into a regular teenager. That's what everyone else was doing. It couldn't hurt, could it?

Nick~~

"you know." i said. "that's a really good idea, and i don't think we ever could have thought of it after we have already done it yesterday and the day before that."

"hey don't be so mean Nick." Alyse said.

"fine, i was just sayin." i said. my watch began to beep and i checked it. "aw, man got a go." I had to go to practice.

"where to." the new girl asked.

"skate park, got to perfect a few combos and moves before Friday comes." I said. And with that i dropped my board and left them alone.
