Being those who we are yet to know
Why do they tell us to walk in their shoes?
We are an interesting people
Advising when we have no help to give
Judging when we have been judged
Facing hardship in the face of hardship
We are such hypocrites!
Where are the days of real romance?
When marriage was sacred?
When violence wasn’t in our daily lives?
Writing about it is only the first step
We must take action while we still can
Our lives may be taken any second
By any of these means
So live yours like you only have one day left

Fairly good poem. I think the emphasis on key parts definitely transmitted to the reader but I think you can biuld upon it. Being fairly solid with the exception of using hardship twice in the same line, although it does help add meaning to the message, in my personal opinion I'd like to see an extension but I can not help but think that it would only dilute the main purpose of this poem which is quite refelctive of our past generations and even ourselves to some extent, so I say keep it as it is, it's perfect already!

Sincerely,

I really like the points you are getting at but maybe you could get to them more poetically. It sounds like a call to action rather than a poem. But I really like it! Give us more!
