I drew this on 9/11 as a tribute...type...thing... He is a graceful, poised, All-American wolf. And despite the fact that his wings look like those Firecracker popsicles, I'm really pleased with the way they turned out. Initially, he was going to be purely white with just the blue star over his eye, but I couldn't stand how bland he looked. So I added a little red and blue on the tip of his tail. I thought of giving him a name, but I couldn't think of one that was just right. And also, I don't think I'm going to keep him as a character, so there isn't much of a point. But, hey, if you can think of a good name for him, don't hesitate to let me know! I will gladly name him. ^^

This is great! You were right to add the color, it makes it look so much better, it gives the wings real definition. There's nothing i can even critic! You did everything so well, even the lines are great.
Your profile picture.. did you draw that as well?

Hey, RayneChild!

You are a very talented drawer!

Critique:

-I love the wings. The color really does give them definition.
-Umm, the feet kind of look like hooves. Well, not kind of. The wolf's feet don't resemble paws at all. They look like horse hooves.
-The bandanna is cute.
-I think I would like it if I had an eye instead of a star. But that's just my personal opinion.

Keep drawing!

Hope this helped,

Hellooo!

Very nice. I really do like wolves.

But for my critique I would have to agree with Haruno Sakura with how the paws look like horse hooves and I would rather much perfer a eye than a star. The colour did add plenty of definition and the wings aren't so bad. I like them a lot. Another thing I would have to say is that with a normal eye and not a star the head might look a little more natural. It looks a little bit off at the moment because the star is an irregular shape. You have nice clean lines and the bandana added a nice touch. But I think you could have made the bandana a bit larger.

Otherwise, I really do like this drawing. Great Patriotic emotion in this picture.

Thank you guys so much! Just one little thing though:
He does have an eye...it's just closed. I know it's kinda hard to see, but it's there. It's probably just because the blue is so dark, but it's there.
Also, could you expand a little on the paws? That's how I always draw my paws, and I don't want everyone to think that my paws look like hooves.
Thanks so much!!! :D

Wow. You are seriously amazing at drawing wings. I would say work on the legs and feet, and maybe the muzzle and ears. Your style of drawing is quite neat. I cant wait for more art!

Also, Telina, no, I didn't draw my avatar. I colored the lineart, but I didn't draw it. Thanks for asking :)

Heya!

This was a pretty neat picture. I loved the colours and the wings. The wings are awesome! But, the wolf's paws don't look like paws. They're way to square and don't have that rounded touch to them. If you look at your avvie (love it by the way), or even a pet dog or cat you can see what they're paws look like.

The head looks sorta funny too. The top where the ears are seems overly large and the muzzle is too fat for a wolfs.

Also the legs closest to us seem off. It's like they're backwards and really stiff. The tail too, is pretty poofy for a wolfs. Look's like a husky's tail or something.

The bandana is a unique touch, although it could be bigger.

Like I said above, I loved the colour you added everywhere. It's a great picture, just needs some touching up done. I hope I wasn't too harsh. Just trying to help ^_^

:) Of course you weren't too harsh. I see now what you mean by the paws. The tail is just my traditional style, but I've gotten a little better since I drew this picture, so they don't all look quite like this anymore. I see what you mean by the muzzle. I kinda messed up on it... And I didn't notice the bandana's size until after I inked it. Ain't that always the way...:) I've tried to draw bandanas on animals before. Yeah, never quite works out the way I wish it would, but maybe I'll get better...someday ;) Thanks for the crit!

You are going to love some of your characters because they are you, or some facet of you, and you are going to hate some characters for the same reason.
