We get off to the rhythm of the trigger and destruction. Fallujah to New Orleans with impunity to kill. We are the hidden fist of the free market.

I had a conversation about this with a friend the other day  I said something as a joke but I can't remember now. Another one of my mates said at his dad's funeral he'd play "You're not the boss of me now" and "Celebrate" I'd probably have Britney Spears songs played - wouldn't bug me XD I'd be dead. Suteki Da Ne would definately be one, I'm addicted to this song and I'd probably make them all listen to other Japanese songs just because I want people to be bugged at my funeral XD.

Don't Look Back Into The Sun by The Libertines. It's uplifting and it's about forgetting the past...I'd want my funeral to be a celebration rather than a horrible time for people.

You'll Never Walk Alone by Gerry and The Pacemakers would be a must, too.

well, the first question is, why do i care, im dead!

but i want something that is morbidly funny. like, weird al singing since you've been gone. I'll post the lyrics so you can understand the hilarity of it, having never heard the song.

"Since you've been gone
Well, I feel like I've been chewing on tinfoil
Since you've been gone
It's like I got a great big mouthful of cod liver oil
Oh well, I'm feelin like I stuck my hand
Inside a blender and turned it on
You know, I've been in a buttload of pain
Since you've been gone

(Since you've been gone)
I couldn't feel any worse if you dropped
A two-ton bowling ball on my toes
(Since you've been gone)
It couldn't hurt any more if you shoved
A red-hot cactus up my nose

Since you've been gone
Well, it feels like I'm getting tetanus shots every day
Since you've been gone
It's like I've got an ice cream headache that won't go away
Ever since that day you left me
I've been so miserable, my dear
I feel almost as bad as I did
When you were still here"

This is such a depressing thread. I refuse to have a funeral. When I die, I want a party with flowers and sweets and dancing and bright colours and loud obnoxious music and lots and lots of alcohol.
Sing lustily and with a good courage. Beware of singing as if you were half dead, or half asleep; but lift up your voice with strength.

Yes, I agree with Gal on this one. It's a very depressing thread for a group of people who, for the most part, haven't even finished high school. Funerals are too sad and formal, anyway. I would want lots of fun David Bowie songs. My favourites are Golden Years, Rebel Rebel, and one he wrote for the movie Labyrinth, Magic Dance.
Please, sit down before you fall down.

Oooooh I forgot about Labyrinth - I'd probably have the one at the dance, I think it was "As the world falls down" but I can't remember where I put the album so I can't check

That's right. It's "As the World Falls Down." I've got that movie memorized.
