Act 2

(Alice is in the car with her Mom Mrs. Anderson)

Mrs. Anderson: Who was that cute looking boy you were talking to?

Alice: His name is Tim and he’s not cute.

Mrs. Anderson: Looks mighty handsome to me why were you talking to him?

Alice: Well, we’re social studies partners and we have this project to do.

Mrs. Anderson: What’s the project?

Alice: Well, we have to write about a mystery and I’m sure we’re supposed to try and solve it if we can.

Mrs. Anderson: Solve the mystery about what’s growing under your brother’s bed it smells like a dead animal in his room.

Alice: Tell me about Mom.

(Alice looks out the window as they pass by the Mary Hanson’s house)

Alice: Have you ever heard of Mary Hanson?

Mrs. Anderson: Hmm…sounds familiar…why?

Alice: Just-just asking…it sounds familiar to me too.

(The car stops and they climb out, Alice looks down the street to Mary Hanson’s house and sighs)
