At exactly three o’clock, I went over to the school’s library to meet Jasper. I found him sitting at one of those small, round tables reading a book. “What are you reading?” I asked him.

“Something about a war in 1970,” Jasper replied. He took his nose out of the book and looked up at me. “So, where are we heading?” he asked.

“I have an idea,” I told him, smiling. Grabbing Jasper by the arm, I pulled him out of the school and into the freezing, snowy outdoors. We ran hand in hand out of the school’s parking lot by the busy street. The cool wind blew hard against our faces. “Taxi!” I hollered, raising one hand in the air. It took ten minutes and fifteen or sixteen calls, but finally a yellow and black cab pulled up right beside us. I climbed inside, pulling Jasper alone with me. “The downtown mall over on Witherson,” I told the fat, bearded taxi driver. He only grunted and stuffed a chocolate doughnut into his mouth before he took off.

Jasper stared out the window at all the tall buildings covered with white fluffy snow. I pulled my silver i-pod out of my side pocket and turned it up full blast on the All American Rejects. I stuck one of the buds into Jasper’s ear and the other into my own, but he immediately yanked it out.

“What is that thing?” he asked, looking shocked, disgusted and confused all at the same time.

“It’s an i-pod. Kind of like a radio except smaller,” I explained. Jasper still had a confused look on his face. “What you never seen or heard a radio before?” He shook his head. “It’s just music in a box,” I said, tossing him the i-pod. He slowly placed both buds into his ears. As he listened to the rest of the song, I studied his facial expression, but it was unrecognizable. I took out one of the buds still in Jasper’s ear and stuck it into my ear. As I bobbed my head to the music, Jasper’s face remained blank. Finally, after the forth song, he spoke up.

“I just can’t figure this thing out,” he admitted, holding up the i-pod.

“You don’t have to get it. That’s just how things work around here,” I told him.

After we listened to two more songs, the taxi came to a stop right next to the mall. “Fifteen eighty two,” the taxi driver demanded, holding out his fat, grubby hand.

I paid the man and dragged Jasper into the mall. The mall was packed with people. A three story water fountain sat in the middle of the mall surrounded by different types of unique stores and restaurants. Hundreds of different kinds of music filled the air. In the center of the mall, people were selling jewelry, designer products, fruit sprays and lotions, and many other useless items in small booths. Escalators leading to the second part of the mall sat in various places. Jasper only stood frozen to the spot studying every bit of the mall.

“What is this place?” he asked, a bit of wonder and thrill in his voice.

“The downtown mall. It’s a bunch of stores all bundled together in one building,” I explained, seeing the confused look on his face.

“With a mini waterfall and moving stairs?”

“Water fountain and escalators,” I corrected.

Getting impatient, I pulled Jasper into one of the nearest stores. It was a funky little store with disco lights, colorful, squishy nick-knacks, and shirts with crude jokes on them. Rock music blasted through the entire store. I picked up a light brown cap and placed it on top of my head.

“How do I look?” I asked Jasper. However, Jasper was too busy examining all the nick-knacks. He picked up a green spiky, rubber ball filled with liquid and squeezed it a few times.

“Hey Liz, catch!” he shouted, throwing the ball at me. I turned around the second he said my name, but I wasn’t quick enough. The ball landed right on my legs and broke, leaving my jeans soaked with whatever was in that ball. Jasper walked over to me and started to apologize, but there was no time for apologies right now. The store manager had noticed our little accident and she didn’t look too happy about it.

“Run,” I told Jasper in a low tone before I took off running out of the store and father down the mall. It didn’t take long before Jasper was running right beside me.

I didn’t turn around, but I could hear the security guard trailing behind us, blowing his whistle and shouting, “Stop! Stop!”

Jasper grabbed a hold of my hand and started running faster by the second. Pretty soon, he was running so fast that my feet couldn’t keep up. As we zigzagged past the crowds of people faster than my legs could handle, I felt them get weaker. I was now being dragged along trying my best to keep my feet going as fast as Jasper. I could feel a harsh wind blowing against my face that made my eyes water and everything around me started to become a blur. Suddenly, my feet were lifted off of the ground and about at least an inch into the air. I glanced over at Jasper whose feet remained firmly on the ground still moving faster than any man had ran before. Jasper still clutching my hand, I struggled to plant my feet back on solid ground, but it was hopeless. My short blond hair blew in every direction. I tried shouting at Jasper to make him stop, but my voice was weak and low. Finally, Jasper came to a halt and my feet were planted back on the ground.

“I think we lost him,” Jasper said in a normal tone. I only stared at him in shock, my heart racing. My head was spinning and I felt off balance for a few minutes. Suddenly, anger swerved over me. What the heck was he doing and how? Without saying a word to Jasper, I grabbed him by the shirt and pulled him into another store into a stall, shutting the door behind me. I stared at him still shocked and lost for words. “What?” he asked, confused as well.

“You-You ran so fast that my feet were lifted off the ground,” I stuttered. Jasper bit his lip and turned the other way as I waited patiently for his reply.

“I’m just a fast runner,” was his pathetic answerer.

“Nobody’s that fast,” I protested.

“Look, there’s some things in this world that you’ll never understand.” Still irritated with Jasper for whatever it was he wasn’t telling me, I folded my hands across my chest. “No madder how much you look at me like that or beg or plead, I’m still not telling you,”

“Telling me what?”

Jasper sighed. “Can we just go back and have fun?” he asked smiling at me. Once again, his smile made me want to melt into his arms. No longer feeling mad at Jasper, I took his hand he was reaching out to me and walked out of the changing stall.
I'm going to La Push Jacob off a cliff,
and stab him with Forks!

Hey! I liked this chapter. Good job! ^_^

At exactly three o’clock, I went over to the school’s library to meet Jasper.

You don't need over in that sentence. There is no need for it.

Finally, after the forth song, he spoke up.

Psst. You spelled fourth wrong  I spelled it right.

I tried shouting at Jasper to make him stop, but my voice was weak and low.

Low usually means like deep here. Just keep low out and it will sound better.

No madder how much you look at me like that or beg or plead, I’m still not telling you,”

Madder isn't a word, or at least not that I knew of. I believe you mean matter.

No longer feeling mad at Jasper, I took his hand he was reaching out to me and walked out of the changing stall.

They were in a changing stall together? What would people think of if they saw that? You have to admit, that is a bit awkward.

Good job again. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions. ^_^
