Can I join in! If so, I'll start. If not, ignore the post below.

Bent over in the corner like an old man, Damien hastily scribbles in the tattered notebook that rest on his lap. His long brown hair hangs over his eyes and his clothes hang off his scrawny body. His eyes are wide and secretly cry for attention. He has noticed some people on the beach, obviously goths and skaters and the like, but he is too scared to approach them. The prospect of rejection hangs glumly over his head. Damien sighs, realizing how his crippling shyness is slowly creating a wall between him and other kids.

"No," He says suddenly, "No, I can't go on like this."

Throwing his notebook to the wind, and grinning proudly he walked over to the beach- obviously trying to adopt a stride but looking more like he was crippled.

Emma sits next to the boy in dark clothes and looks at what he is drawing in the sand. Someone comes over to the crowd, he looked like he was crippled. She quickly walked over to him before anything came out of Ari's drunken mouth. She smiled at this boy and held out her hand to him.

"Welcome to the boring world that you have entered," She says, grinning,

She takes a glance at thother people. They all seemed lifeless, there was no point in thinking they were important to this new guy. The black clothed guy carried on drawing, ignoring her question she asked five minutes ago.

Ivy leans her head against the wall, her dark hair hanging in waves around her shoulders. Her face is pale.

"Damn, I feel like I just got crushed under a twelve ton boulder..." she moaned, rubbing her temples. "Ari, are you sure there's no more water?"

Damien grins shyly at the girl who stands in front of him. A dog runs around her ankles playfully.
"Hi, I'm Damien,"He mumbles and instantly goes a shade of crimson.
"You sound like an idiot," His mind tells him, he scowls at his own thoughts and his eyes sink toward the floor.
"Is it really that borring?" He asks suddenly, playing with his feet and barely opening his mouth.

"Well... Yeah, at the moment... Ari, hey I got a job for ya, go and get us some water, the party might... Have some?" She says,

She stares at the new guy, not knowing what to do, he seems so shy, she didn't want to do anything bad and make him feel embarrased and hide away. She took a deep breath trying to think of something interesting and lively to say.

"Whats your name?" She asks,

Now that shouldn't be too embarrasing and boring... She ran her fingers through her curly hair, keeping it out of her face. She gave a small yawn, like she was tired... Only that she was actually tired.

"Didn't I already say it?" He says, finally lifting his eyes anf forcing a smile.
"It's Damien, Damien Crow,"
A sudden surge of confidence bubbles in his veins. He feels an urge to tell this girl more, more about who he really is. But why, they'd known each other for all of twenty seconds.
"And you are...?" He adds, praying hes' not being rude and trying deseprately to mask his shyness.

Emma's cheeks turns pink, she grins, her face heating up, calm down Emma...

"Oh sorry, bad memory!" She laughed, "I'm Emma."

There it was that wierd silence, the guy didn't seem to like talking very much, and she found that quite imitating.

"Erm... How old are you? And.. Tell me more about you self, mum don't like me talking to utter strangers in the dark," She smiles,

He grins.
This girl is different-but she wants to know more.
The alarm bells ring in his head- his personal life is a safe, locked up in his mind.
Best lie then.
"Well,I'm fourteen, and I'm here on holiday," He says through a false smile "Um...what else?"
He attempts a laugh, but it catches in his throat.
"What mabout you?" He smiles. patting the dog which runs around his legs.

"Well, I'm 15, yeah and I live here, don't know much about the place though..." She answers,

She looks at him with a blank face, her cheeks go slightly red and she turns away staring at the soft sand surrounding her scruffy converses.

"Having fun here then?" She smiles,

"Not really," He admits miserably "There's not much to do, is there?"
He stares at the shadows around him. Looking as if life itself had pushed them away. The harsh winds and miserable rain matched the mood perfectly.
He then realised he was talking to Emma.
"It's kinda boring around here," He says "There must be somwhere more fun."
He waits for a reply, worrying why she can't seem to meet his glassy blue eyes.
Stop. Look. Jive!

"Well, I don't know, I don't go out often, I wish I could go back to England but... Parents think different," She laughed,

Now looking at him again, taking glances at the boy behind him with the black clothes on, hopeful that he will get up and come over to chat to her and Damien.

"You should ask Ari, he seems to know his way about he perfectly, goes on about it alot," Emma says, now all her focus directly on Damien.

Suddenly, Ari's phone rings, and he snatches it up quickly. He is talking to the person on the other line, assumingly his girlfreind, in heated tones in mixed Hebrew and English.

"What? ..... Loir? What do you mean? No! No, I didn't!......Why are you yelling at me? You KNOW we're just freinds....what?!! No! Absolutely not!" This goes on for about fifteen minutes, at the end of which he yells at the top of his lungs in an odd mixture of Hebrew and English "FINE, Frecha [s***], go ahead! See what I care! AND GOOD RIDDANCE TO YOU!"

After this, he throws his phone down on the sand, and storms over to where the liquor is, and drains an entire fifth of vodka by himself.

Ivy's partially inebriated mind isn't able to comprehend all of Ari's conversation, especially since she doesn't speak a word of Hebrew, but she's not stupid, and can tell that things between Ari and his girlfriend aren't exactly friendly.

She pushes herself to her feet and wobbles unsteadily for a moment, putting a hand to her forehead as she tries to calm her headache and catch her balance. She walks over to where Ari is standing and puts a hand on his shoulder, tilting her head to the side to look at him. Her dark eyes are questioning.
