Ok; I happen to be one of the worst photographers in the world, but I'm strangely fond of this picture for some reason I just love it! I took it in the summer in Skye. I don't own a fancy camera, just a samsung black digital one :) and I don't have photoshop or anything so it's not edited in any way. So by my standards it's relatively good *rolls eyes at self*
Do you like it?

I have no idea how on earth you upload pictures here so I'll just put the link here :

ooh! I love this picture! I don't think there is anything to change about it. I love the clarity of the plant and the fuzzy-ness of the background. This picture is very good.

I don't have much to say but I like it alot!

Aw thankyou
it was taken in an old house way up high on the hills, long abandoned. It was a ruin, the place where the windows used to be there was a ledge, so I (carefully) climbed up onto it and took it looking down. I love that place

Funky picture.

I love the plant that you chose.
Also how the background plays a nice part in forming the focus on the plant.

You could have taken it a bit lower so that the entire plant and the small surroundings around it could be seen.

Thankyouu someguy
Hahah good tip, the only thing was I was the lowest I could get, otherwise I would have fallen out of the window thing (For lack of a better description ) down into that rather spectacular view, and probably killed myself on the way

Its really pretty. The whole depth and size of it. Although the flower was a bit wierd it kind of added a focus and singularity to it. Made it interesting.
And I would have loved the see the old ruin! Did you take any of it?
But yeah, awesome photo.

I just hit my computer

The scenery is amazing. The plant is cool.
I love it :P.
This picture makes me want to go to Skye lol.

Good position, nice background.
With just a Samsung and no editing you
did a very good job.

Wow, Kirsten.
This was breathtaking.
To think I didn't even know you photographed.
I agree, it just makes you want to go to Skye.
For just a Samsung, the focus is amazing, it really is. You manage to work the plant in as a centre-piece without putting it in the actual middle of the picture. It makes it melancholy, gives it a sort of lonely redundancy. To good effect.
Ah, I'm babbling on. You can tell I'm no art critique.
I really like it though. It creates such an amazing atmosphere of peacefullness of the scene you were at.
Just gorgeous, Kirsten. Just gorgeous.

Keep photographing! The forum needs more photographers like you. :P

That was beautiful.
It seems to all go together. The plant, the mountains, the lake. Everything.
It's a beautiful picture, really makes me want to go there. It must have been amazing.

You have a natural eye for photography. :]
But that is not the question. Why we are here, that is the question. And we are blessed in this, that we happen to know the answer. Yes, in this immense confusion one thing alone is clear. We are waiting for Godot to come. -Beckett

I like this photo.

I like how the cactus or flower is centered between the water and the sky

You should take more photos and stretch your photo abilities
