Home is like a battle ground
And you are having trouble maintaining your sanity there
Its time to stop the madness
You go downstairs from the safety of your room
And tell your parents who are arguing over who knows what now
That your leaving before you lose all of your sanity
If they hear you they ignore you
You head back upstairs for the final time
And begin to write a note explaining it all
As they’ve been ignoring you and fighting
That you will explode if you have to listen to them fight anymore
But also that if you don’t leave soon you may just start to rot,
From the inside out
You pack you bag
In it you include a knife, some food, and some water
With the knife you can only guess what may happen
You lay the note on your bed
And climb out the window, into the night
And run, far away from your home
You wind up in the field
Were so many memories were made, during happier times
It is then you know what to do
You take the knife you packed
Hold back the tears, and whisper how your sorry it has to be this way
And then take the knife and plunge into your already broken heart
