I hereby revoke Stephanie Meyer's membership of the Unofficial Writers' Union.

What a piece of sparkly, melodramaticky, bloody-drippingy crap.

There's more of a lack of blood. Remember, her vampires are invincible- they don't need to drink human blood. Deus ex machina central.

I didn't mind the books as much as everyone seems to want to. I didn't love them, certainly, but they're not bad for what they are.

The movie, however, highlighted the terrible dialogue wonderfully. That coupled with some horrible acting made me laugh.

Twilight = lameness

There was a girl in my class.. She had a brain.

But when Twilight was realesed, she became the typical preteen girl.

I haven't seen the film but i have read a bit of it and also read about it and I'm dieing to watch it. Remember most of us 'naive teen girls' are on here, and we are not naive, we just happen to like something you dont ^^

I can see why you wouldn't like it because of its poor storyline of human girl meets vampire boy. But that does appeal to the younger generation aka me.

You know, it really makes me feel sad when even the younger generations themselves admit they like something with a poor storyline. That just doesn't bode well for the future.

That being said, I don't mind Twilight. I've never read it, apart from the first few pages of the first book. I don't like her style, so I put it down. I'm not going to join in with the rabid fans or the people who insult it all the time, although I do think the books could be improved on a lot, from what little I've read.

Older generation probably would find its boring but younger people are impressed by the small story lines. Its not compacted like older films.

I am a part of the younger generation and I think it's a mindless piece of awfulness that should be rotting on fan fiction boards.

Twilight is proof that crap can be published.

I wanted to shoot myself by the millionth time it mentioned Edward's "liquid topaz eyes" and "perfect cold marble skin".

But alas, four book later I'm alive. It's true. It's crapiness can be exaggerated a lot. I admit, I do the same. But it's still pretty horrible.

I guess I can't really judge twilight, as I put it down after the first 10 pages, but my impression of it was a plotless lame piece of writing. But what really gets to me is the fact that my younger sister, who albeit is prone to reading rubbish is completely obsessed with a certain Edward McCullen.

Anyway, My experience with Twilight has put me on a tirade against Stephanie Meyer, and her books. How she is selling so many copies is beyond me. Anyway what I really wanted to say was: Harry Potter all the way! Twilight -- Go eat [insert your favorite defamatory noun here].

The best thing Stephenie Meyer did with Twilight was create Jacob Black and his pack of kick-a** werewolves. I will see the second movie entirely to watch Paul turn into a giant dog and tackle Bella.
