They gave for their countries,
They gave their health and lives,
To protect our freedom,
From other's greedy cries.
I thank them everyday,
And I let out a sigh
I wish that there was a way
That no one had to die.
But freedom comes at a price;
One thats very high,
The loss of human lives,
Of innocence and sanity,
Of friends and family,
All these a calamity.
So veteran soldiers,
All across the nation
I thank you so much,
For staying at your station.

this one didn't flow very prettily as it should have. try to write it to flow and don't force your rhymes, it makes the poem sound bad. But the subject is touching and the words are true, you know what to write about, but you need to work on the flow of the words that you use. Okay here's your review. Happy?

Nanananana, yes I'm happy, you pestered me so much about giving you a review. We're still not even you know.

I really like this. Coming from a big back round with the military, I know they really like a small thank you. I'm kind of surprised I didn't see more of these. It's still really nice. Yes the rhyming wasn't that great and it could have flowed better, but I don't fallow any rhyme or meter so I think its great. ^_^

*shrugs her shoulders*

I liked it. It really doesn't have to rhyme, because it might have been a free verse.
I'll say it again, I liked it. I also cried reading it like I did during the Veteran's Day assembly we had this past week. :D

We had one too. I wanted to beat people upside the head with a stick. Some kids were being disrespectful. Laughing and talking during, prayer, taps, and all the stories the veterans were sharing. It made me so mad!

What will live longer, you or your words? Something to think about the next time you abandon a project...
