Little boy lost,
Wandering away
From everything he knows.

Little girl sees
Recalls painful things,
Memories she never wanted
To confront.

(Chorus)
And the scars we share
Can't heal 'til we
Look them in the eye.
And we'll always find
Our way home,
Even though we're just
A couple of lost souls.

Torn away
From his family,
Taught to be
Vicious and mean
But it felt so wrong.

I want to hold him,
But he shies away,
'Cause he's never known love.

(Repeat Chorus)

I want to help him,
I want to love him,
I want to tell him
Everything.

But I'm still lost,
Wondering where we are.
How did I get into this mess?
I'm just a little girl
In a mixed-up world
Trying to find her way home...

(Repeat Chorus)
"You do ill if you praise, but worse if you censure, what you do not understand." Leonardo Da Vinci

Very beautiful. It captures the feeling I think you wanted to express clearly and strongly with very few details that do little more than suggest what is happening, yet it is very easy to understand. Elegantly done. Wish I could hear it put to music.
Please, sit down before you fall down.

i like this. a lot. short but powerful; very well done. you so need to see if you can get a song out of it- give it a good tune and you're there.
