My face is a mask,
for the world to see.
Caught up in secrets,
that one cannot know.
Giving false hope,
lies continue to grow.
And we grasp for a rope,
to escape this black pit,
that we've created,
but the path stays unlit.
Growing, changing,
this black despair,
leaves you smothered and crushed,
gasping for air.
The masks grow too heavy,
and begin to slip.
The masks grow too heavy,
and begin to fall.
Till all of our faces,
laid bare for all.
