This is the second part that I wasn't really going to write, but since it made me laugh, I thought I'd post it. It isnt the same narrator, but I guess you could figure that out. Tell me what you think.
We are friends, you and I. We couldn’t be any closer. You laugh when I laugh, I cry when you cry. We are there for each other no matter what.
You trust me with your deepest secrets. You are crushing on some girl in out Biology class. Her name is Angela, and in your books, she’s a perfect ten. There is no one that could possibly compare to her beauty, her mystery.
You tell me about her any chance you can. She glanced at you in class today and you smiled at her. I know her, well I know of her. She’s had a crush on you for a long time. It’s kind of cute really.
I keep this from you. You deserve better. She can not be who you need, she will only drag you down. She is a book herd she isn't cool.
As we sit and chat by the bleachers after school, you see Angela walking towards the bus.
She had put her long hair in a messy bun. She never had spent any time in front of the mirror, never worn make up a day in her life. Yet, you worshiped the very ground she walks on.
How can you be so stupid?
You start to follow her. You spent weeks preparing yourself, figuring out what to say. Now’s your chance to confront her, and I know she will melt in your eyes.
My heart accelerates, my breathing is uneven. I do the only thing I can think of to top you.
I couldn’t stop you from sitting with her at lunch when she was alone. I didn’t say anything when you chose her to be your lab partner. But, boy, this has gone for enough.
It ends now.
I quickly job t your side and take your hand. Something we do that isn't anything more than a friendly gesture.
You smile down at me as we continue to walk. I try to work of the courage for what I’m about to do. We are both nervous about this, but for all different reasons.
What I’m about to do jeopardizes everything we’ve built. We many not be able to stay friends. Just the same, it must be done.
You are probably worried about what you’re going to say. Are you going to play it off as the cool kid? How cliché of you. If I don’t pull this off, at least be original!
We are closer to the buses now. You think I’m here to cheer you one. Sorry, pal, that only happens on the football field.
It’s now or never, I tell myself and plant my feet.
You continue to walk, obviously with your head up your ass. I tug at your arm.
You turn to me, a sweet-confused look on your face. I fight the urge to reach out and touch your creased brow.
Instead, I wrap my arms around your neck and pull your face down to mine. Such pretty eyes shouldn’t be wasted looking at trash.
As I press my soft pink lips to yours, I want to smile. Nothing would make me happier if you wrapped your arms around my waist and pull me closer.
At first you don’t pull away, but you aren’t active either. I hear the buses start and pull away. I turn to walk back to the field, my uniform ruffling in the wind, when you call me. You wonder what just happened. Why wouldn’t you?
I smile as I walk away and do not turn.
