I love the Buddha,
He's who I want to be.
Like the time he sat beneath the bodhi,
to set his essence free.
I love the Buddha,
He seems to know all.
When he wrote his four noble truths,
laid out why men fall.
I love the Buddha,
He's always so calm.
In deep contemplation with folded legs,
a wheel on his palm.
I love the Buddha,
He's every one's friend.
He does not teach of other's failings,
he has patience to spend.
I love the Buddha,
He is enlightened.
To him death is the ultimate release,
so don't be frightened.
I love the Buddha.
...He's who I'd like to be.
