Yay! Finally got the second chapter up. Just kind of drabbling in fluff right now.

Love. Hope looked up the word in the dictionary that night. There were rows and rows of definitions. How could sexual desire and passionate affection be the same thing? And what do sexual intercourse and getting a zero in tennis have anything to do with each other? Hope began to bang her head on the wall hopelessly as a last resort, hoping that something would come to her about her feelings for pretty-boy. They certainly were not like what she had felt for Raymond-or, Ray Ray as she had affectionately called him. They were on a whole different level, like black and white, and the worst part was, she didn’t even know what his name was. She wasn’t paying attention when her parents had made introductions; she was too distracted by that shaggy brown hair, messily thrown in his eyes, those big, blue eyes, enough to search her soul.

Hope turned on the radio next to her bed and began to dance, something that she often did when she had no idea what else to do. She was dressed only in a gray camisole, and blue panties, her long legs swaying and twisting to the upbeat pop music. She spun and twirled, imagining she was in the arms of pretty-boy, his tan hands caressing her face. Hope fake swooned and lied back on her bed. She giggled, realizing that this was something that she had not done in a long time, this boy-day-dreaming thing. It was something that those boy-crazy girls did, the ones who were always giggling and blushing. Acting like that was way too immature for Hope. She thought that boys were mostly a waste of time. Mostly. Looking over at her clock, Hope realized it was nearing ten thirty, so she headed to the bathroom to wash her face and brush her teeth.

Hope sauntered towards the bathroom, still bouncing, and opened the door. Standing before her was Pretty-boy himself. In the flesh. Standing in her bathroom. Hope could barely breathe, nor did she remember that she only in her panties. No words escaped her mouth as she quickly tried to make up something cute and catchy to say, but nothing came. They simply stood there staring at each other until Hope stuttered, “Why the hell are you in my bathroom?” Hope slapped a hand over her mouth. She wondered how she had gotten so rude, but Pretty-boy simply laughed, as if it had been a joke.
“I’m staying in the guest room remember? And seeing as this bathroom is the closest, I thought that it would be okay to use, I hope I haven’t upset you beautiful.” A hot blush ran over Hope.

“No…no, of course not. I’ll just leave you alone then.” Hope ran away as fast as she possibly could, her heart beating out of her chest, ignoring Pretty-boy’s calls after her. She didn’t stop moving until she was safe in her bed, and all of her naked body parts were modestly covered by her fluffy duvet. No boy had ever seen so much of her. Ever. Was that what love is? Was it someone who sees you naked, and instead of making a perverted comment, simply states how beautiful you are? If it wasn’t, then Hope didn’t know what love was.

So I'm quite liking this story. I like the idea of it, though it is a bit cliche. You can stray it away from cliche, though, by putting obstacles in. Like maybe he could be engaged or something (he is nineteen years old after all, right?). I don't know. Just make it a bit original so it's not like, "Well, heard this story a thousand and one times."

This is also very, VERY short, or at least too short to be called a chapter. In my opinion, at least. Maybe try having more happening in each chapter so they aren't so short, or just combine a couple of chapters into one.

A couple more things:

1) Pretty Boy's name should get here soon, so we don't have to keep calling him that (it also makes him sound vain, which I'm not sure if he is at this point).

2) It would be a bit unrealistic if Hope was in love with Pretty-Boy (<-- see number 1) on
the first night she met him, and only based off of looks. Sure, she could have a crush, but don't rush the love part. She barely knows the guy and he hardly knows her.

3) By now we should have a pretty firm grip on what kind of Person Hope is, but we really don't. Show her character a bit more, and this could also help with lengthening the chapters.

4) First you talk about how she loved Ray-Ray (sorry, that made me laugh!) so much, and then you said boys are a waste of time to her. Which one is it? Unless she grew disinterested in boys after the deal with Ray-Ray (haha), in which case you should mention this.

5) Um... I forgot... oh yeah. "She lied back on her bed." Should probably be "She lay back on her bed." BUT I AM NOT SURE!!! Check with someone else, because I am not sure about this one. Sorry.

6)
...that shaggy brown hair, messily thrown in his eyes, those big, blue eyes, enough to search her soul.
You repeat "eyes." Try another word the second time.

7) No, that's all, I just thought I would try to be funny and trick you... yeah, harhar, I am hilarious.

I do like the story, though, and with a little work it could be really great. I am looking forward to reading more. Sorry if I seemed mean, and if you have any questions please don't hesitate to PM me. Good luck!

Again, good, Beautyandthefish! hehe I just can't get enough of your name :D

But anyway, I do have a few things to point out:

1. Age Difference. I'm guessing that is going to be the biggest problem here. 15 versus 19...right? I mean, when you say four years, it makes it sound better, but now that I have it written out...it is kind of a huge difference. So I'm guessing this is the main problem. If I'm right, I would put more emphasis on that. Right now, you have only mentioned it once. But maybe have her thinking about how old he is, or how mature he is. Or something like that.

2. From Chapter One to Chapter Two. I see there has been some time that has passed between ch. 1 to ch. 2...or maybe not?? But that's what I got. And I think that if there has, you need to show that. Slip in some subtle hints. Something like that. And if there hasn't been any time, like if this is just later that night....I don't think she would be in love with Pretty-Boy yet...I mean, that is WAY too soon. So I would slow that down a bit.

Positives:

1. I do like the "looking up the definition of love" thing. I thought that was really cute. And how she is trying to discover it for herself. Very realistic :D

2. The whole story overall. I just really like it!

Keep up the good work, Beauty! :D

Most of the grammar/spelling and some other stuff has been covered, so I'll just give you my honest opinions.

CHARACTERS
Pretty-Boy (that's a weird name, by the way. Give him an actual name, pretty please.) seems a bit like a Gary Stu. The perfect, gorgeous hero who has nothing to lose by falling hopelessly in love with the heroine. GAG! I don't know how many times I've read those stereotypes in stories. Give him some yin to balance out his yang--because personally, I'm feeling too much yang. Make him the gay son of some high-profile senator who goes against same-sex couples. Or something like that...

Hope does seem a bit like the classic angsty girl who suddenly finds love and makes everything perfect. Well, that sounds a lot like some other girls in stories. (*cough*BellaSwanFromTwilight*cough*) And also, I agree with ashleylee. The timing is way too soon. But I have to admit, the love definition in the dictionary was cute.

PLOT
This does seem a bit cliche. For examples on turning it fresh, turn to Sherrylin Kenyon's Dream-Hunter or Stephenie Meyer's Twilight. This are excellent examples.

LAYOUT/OTHER
The chapter is just big chunks of paragraphs. And to be honest, that makes my eyes hurt (metaphorically). Have variety in the paragraph size.

Grade: C+

HIYA AGAIN! Okay, let's get started!

They certainly were not like what she had felt for Raymond-or, Ray Ray as she had affectionately called him.

No need for that last part.

They were on a whole different level, like black and white, and the worst part was, she didn’t even know what his name was.

When you first read this you think that 'they' is her and Raymond. Maybe clear that up.

She wasn’t paying attention when her parents had made introductions; she was too distracted by that shaggy brown hair, messily thrown in his eyes, those big, blue eyes, enough to search her soul.

RUNON!!

She was dressed only in a gray camisole, and blue panties...

No need for that coma after camisole.

Standing before her was Pretty-boy himself. In the flesh.

Connect these into one sentence, please.

“I’m staying in the guest room remember? And seeing as this bathroom is the closest, I thought that it would be okay to use, I hope I haven’t upset you beautiful.” A hot blush ran over Hope.

A coma after room, take out the 'and' and start the sentence with Seeing, period after use and coma after beautiful. *wipes forehead* woo!

“No…no, of course not. I’ll just leave you alone then.”

Take out the eclipse and replace it with a dash.

Overall
CUTE! Like, not in a weird way but this chapter reminded me of a girl who has puppy love. She seems to fantasize about love, but during the end she thinks that if love isn't someone calling you 'beautiful' then it's not love?

Suggestions:
I think that you should fix the last part I was talking about in the overall. Other than that, it was pretty decent!
A little less inhuman.
A little more brutal.
Let the blood be your drug.
