Alex:

I sighed and held onto our little baby tightly. "It's okay love. I just hate it when we fightt."

aurora:

"I was just thinking how one minute you can be the biggest jerk on the face of the planet, and the next you are the sweetest guy I could ever meet."

Robyn

I nodded. I looked at my palm, hiding it from Alex's view, the cut had turned black, like tattoo ink. I clenched my hand, and turned my attention back to the baby.

"Hi Lucas." I smiled.


Sam

"Thank you... wait, was that a complement?"

"Yes." She smiled. "I thought I gave you a bit of a hint."

"Yeah well I'm not perfect." I said... "Sory, sorry bad choice of words." I laughed.

Alex:

I smiled at my baby. "Hey luc. Okay...what is so special about this baby?"

Aurora:

I giggled. He was so much fun. I pressed my lips to his gently. I pulled him out. "I want o go to the zoo!" I declared like a little child.

Robyn

"He's our baby, helllloooo what isn't special about him?" I asked.

"Point taken, very well I might add." He smiled.

The rest of the night consisted of both of us laying down on our bed, Alex stil held the baby, I leaned on his shoulder as we both watched the baby sleep.

"I never thought this would happen." I said.

Sam

"What's the zoo?" I asked it had a cool name, but what was it?

Alex:

I smiled at my wife. "Well...it did."

Aurora:

I giggled. "It's where they keep animals. You'll like it."

**Bed time.**

Robyn

"I just... after everything we've been through." He pulled me closer to him. "It's just, about 10 months ago, we were just getting married. We weren't planning on a baby until that night on the plane, we didn't even think we're ready. Nobody else thought we were ready. I wasn't even sure I WANTED a baby, but carrying him inside me and seeing him now, I would do anything to protect him... And I know you would too. we're finally at peace, I wish I could keep this moment forever... but I know I... I can't." I whispered.

Sam

I swallowed hard, "Animals?"

Alex:

I sighed. "Someday this will all be over with. It will just be the five of us." I smiled down at Lucus. He would become my best friend. He already knew how to control fire and ice. I chuckled at the oxymoron. Fire and ice. Like Robyn and I. But sometimes I wondered which one of us was fire and which one was ice.

Aurora:

I looked at him. "Is that a problem?"

Robyn

Later on that night Alex and I both decided that the baby would sleep with us, until he understood how to use his powers, and knew how to sheild himself. We also decided we should keep the door locked for any evil, demonic,things that we didn't want around not only ourselves but our son.


Sam

"Well, no but... what type of animals?" I asked.

"Oh don't tell me your affraid."

"No, course not... let's go." I said, unsure.

Alex:

I held our baby tightly to me, touching my wife's hair. I stroked it slowly, content just to be here with her.

Aurora:

I smiled and pulled him to the zoo. I paid and took him in. I smiled as I headed to the Panda exhibit.

Robyn

I felt a slight prick in my hand. I clenched it. I turned and smiled at Alex. "I'll be right back." I said. I kissed the bottom of his chin. I closed the door behind me as I went downstairs, I saw Gwen, sitting by herself.

"Gwen, what are you doing up?" I asked.

"Robyn, I think we need to talk."

"OK." I smiled and sat down next to her. "What's wrong." Her eyes were filled with tears.

"I think you should leave Alex."

My face twisted in a pain. "What, no." I said.

"I don't think you two are the best of couples, you two are completely opposite from each other, what good would that do your baby. And we all know you two are way to young to have a family, I think you should leave the baby here.. and it would be better for all of us, if you... left.."

Where was all this coming from. "No.... no. I'm not leaving."

"Just for a while, Amelia would be a better wife and mother than you, I want you gone in a week, and if you tell Alex, there will be blood."

I sat there, completely stunned, was she insane?


Sam

"How can man except this?" I looked at the poor animals.

"What?" Aurora said.

"How can they cage such wonderful creatures in a.... cage! It's completely barberic!" I wailed.

Alex:

I sighed. I felt so lonely without her. I sighed and clutched Lucus closer, admiring the blond haired blue eyed baby.

Aurora:

"Are you an animal's rights person?" I teased. "Let's go ice skating then since you donzt want to be here."

Robyn

I sat down and thought about it, maybe Gwen was right. I cried for a while and then walked upstairs and back into the bedroom. I wiped my eyes hoping Alex wouldn't notice, I would have to leave in a week.


Sam

"How do you do that?" I asked.

Alex:

I looked up and smiled. The smile froze on my face. "Robyn...what's wrong?"

Arora:

I smiled. "Let me show you."

Robyn

I smiled hiding the tears. "No, I'm fine."

He raised his eyebrows. "What's wrong."

"I'm just really happy, that's all." I lied.

Sam

"do YOU know how?" I asked.

Alex:

I sighed. "Robyn...come here." I gently lifted Lucus so he was still sleeping. Robyn laid down and I pulled her to me so her back was to me. Then I placedLucus in her hands. "I love you, darling. I could never live without you." I ran my hand through her hair, kissing her cheek gently.

Aurora:

I nodded. "I love to skate! Ice skate that is. Want to try?"
