If someone told me
that if you did something hard enough
your sorrows couldn't break through

I'd believe it.

What I wonder today,
reading this thick, satisfying novel,
is if there's a way to keep it that way.

To be forever engrossed in the melody of a writer,
oblivious to the world as you float among
the cool river of words that rushes too fast
for problems to stand firm enough to keep from
toppling over.

If you told me it was possible, I'd believe you.
Because I want to.

Wow.

This was beautiful.

If someone told me

that if you did something hard enough

your sorrows couldn't break through

I'd believe it.
This one little line wields huge power. Gorgeous.

What I wonder today,

reading this thick, satisfying novel,
This 2nd line is kind of awkward, and not in a good way.
is if there's a way to keep it that way.

To be forever engrossed in the melody of a writer,

oblivious to the world as you float among

the cool river of words that rushes too fast

for problems to stand firm enough to keep from

toppling over.
Nothing really wrong here except for a few awkward lines which kinda break rhythm.

If you told me it was possible, I'd believe you.

Because I want to.

Again, this line wields huge power.

All in all, this was amazing.
