Does anybody else around here lift weights or anything like that?

I was thinkin about it today for apparent reason--anyway, last night I went to the gym with my ladies and lifted--felt good since I hadnt been in the weight room for a few days...anyway, I got kinda mad for ano apparent reason and hopped on the leg press--fun stuff. I just kept on adding weight till I finally ended up maxing out the wieght on the machine--scared the crap outta me, cuz usually I'm not very leg strength oriented--maybe it wa the adrenaline. Cool sutff!

Anyway, anyone lift?

Lifting weigths is a great way to relive your self from teh days stress also its very fun :D goes great with music :P :D Leg orientaited are not who-knows-how much popular, mostly people use it if they have pains and such. Arm and back are what us youngesters need.

I do! My mom's friend is a personal trainer, so I've been working with her for the past few weeks. I did upper body yesterday, and I am definitely sore. But it's not as bed as the weight training at the high school. It has nicer equipment, but the workouts are targeted toward football players and every athlete is supposed to do it. I still can't do cleans (where you take a bar off the ground and lift it up to your chest) to save my life. Plus, the swim team was completely shoved aside last year and we never got a slot, so we never worked out. Thank God! But that was till mean, and probably a side effect of the fact that our coaches aren't teachers here like the other ones. And we're not football players.

My driving instructor's handbrake is like lifting weights, I'm the only one who can't work it ¬¬ my brother has weights somewhere in his pit of hell. I might nick them one day and see if I can start lifting them lol.

I lift. Or, at least I used to, but I gotta get back into it again--I'm gettin' pudgy. When I was lifting every other day I could squat 400lbs. Now, I'm down to like 245. bleh.
