"Ah." I rubbed my head and then flipped my hair, my curls kept getting in the way. I squeezed her shoulders and then took hold of her hand. "Kayla is the girls aunt from their moms side. Kayla joined in the marines two years after I did, brought me home, because we were only friends. I met her sister, and that's how my wonderful daughter happened."
Syb smiled. "I hope they like me."
"They'll love you, of course they'll love your outfit and think I married a barbie, instead of a beautiful ex-bartender."
She froze, when I tried to knock on the door she pulled me back.
"What do you mean 'ex-bartender'?" She asked.
"Syb, you won't be working when I'm around. I have enough money to support you, buy you anything that beautfiful large heart of yours desires. And I won't have any other man hitting on my girl." I brang her hand up to my lips, her skin was so gently, so pure, so fragile, I was affrai it would brake.
She smiled. "Ok."
"C'mon." I said pulling her into the room...
Jessica-Lynn and Hayden were reading books, their favorite. I was so proud, they loved reading just like their mother. Jess sat against a wall, and Hayden laid on her stomach with her feet dangling in the air. I motioned Syb to stand right were she was. She silently closed the door behind her. I smiled at her, I walked in when Hayden squeeled.
"Daddy!!!" She through the book down and came racing, Then Jessica-lynn's ears perked up and she did the same. I picked both of them up, they weighted 50 lbs and tjhat's about it.
"Hey, Hayd hey Jessi." I quickly twirled them around and then put them on their feet. "Ah girls, there's someone very special that I'd like you to officially meet." The girls stared up at me. I stepped back and showed them Syb.
Syb looked uncomftorable, I cleared my throat. "This is Sybyla, my new wife... And your new step-mother. Say hello girls." The twins had their mouth hanging open.... "Girls." I said.
Jessica-lynn walked up to her first and held out her hand. "I'm Jessica-Lynn... You can call me Jessi or Jess, or Jessica..... Your pretty." She finally said.
Syb smiled. "Well you can call me Syb." She smiled.
Hayden then pulled on my pant-leg...
"Daddy.... she looks like my barbie doll." Hayden said loud enough for Syb to hear.
Syb blushed all the way down to her throat.
We're meant to be one
I know we are...

Then you are my star... ™
I didn't know how to start. I sighed and wrote one sentence.
Life is what you make it, she made it what she wanted.
What interesting thign was there in a perfectly happy life?
What good thing came from the life she had?
Smiling at myself and my overthinking I turned the light off and turned around to see Marcs confused look staring at me. I walked over and curled up in bed next to him. "I think my writing days are numbered."
"Why?" His touch was featherlight on my shoulder.
"I can't seem to think of a beginning."
"I'd love you even if you didn't write ever again."
The next morning passed easily, I helpped Marc make breakfast, and we ate with the kids. I could feel a habit in the making here, it was a good habit. One I could get used to.
After that he went to work and the kids off to school I wrote a letter to my brother.
I was also determined to find a job, the girls did a good job of keeping the house realitively clean and it only took twenty minutes every other day the first week to clean it. I had to do something with my time.
If you can't get out of your comfort zone, you'll never find what you're looking for. Don't make things quick and easy to feel better short term. Make a change and then you'll feel better longer term. — Frinderman
