Greetings, salutations, hello, and hey!

Do you have any idea how hard it is to find a good writing site? If you don't, let me tell you: It's hard.

So let's get on with this speed intro *clears throat* I love to write. Ironically enough, I can't write an essay to save my life, but I am in love with the English language and creative writing. I have only belonged to one other writing site and that was really a roleplaying board as opposed to a site that was about writing. It was fun and helped me grow as a storyteller.

I look forward to reading pieces of mastermind on this site and writing some of my own ^_^ so let's all be friends!

Welcome to the site! Glad to have you around. Have you tested your toes in the warm (or rather chilly) waters of writing, yet? If so, what genre suits you?

If you have any questions about the site or need help with something, feel free to pm me! I think you would enjoy the story book section. I do not write in them; I seem to fail when ever I try! But they are somewhat like role playing, except with more writing and hopefully improvement of writing.

And thank you for noticing the no chatspeak -.- It's more difficult for me to write in chatspeak (and read it) than to actually use English the way you're supposed to. It's too troublesome.

Seems like everyone has just about beat me to everything that needs to be said. The only thing I could add is make sure to review at least two other pieces of work before posting one of your own. And check out the FAQ's if you have any questions (or PM myself or anyone else with a colored name ).

But what is it you like to write? Read? What muisic do you like to listen to? Do you like salty or sweet things better? Land or sea? Strawberries or Bananas (if either)? Cupcakes or muffins?

X3 Hee, thank yas. It's my longest poem that I've written. Yes, I'm new, I just found this site through facebook and I'm already in love with it. I love writing and discussing writing.

I like writing fantasy and fiction stories more than anything, and the occasional piece of poetry when inspiration hits. Always a little romance, a dash of action, two cups of humor, and perhaps a high school story once in a while for flavoring. Though I also go through this very elaborate process of drawing up my characters. I think I got it from the roleplay forum that I used to write at, but it makes you list out everything in detail: appearance, personality, relationships, history. I love writing out profiles for my characters.

I'm also pretty limited to the genres that I read as well ^_^; Fantasy and fiction are just my "thing". I listen to pretty much all types of music except classical and rap (which I don't even consider music). My favorites are country, Irish, and Japanese, with Rock coming in a close fourth. Sweet, sea, strawberries, muffins.

Point system... hmmm...

Well, basically you get points for reviewing another person's work. You'll note after reviewing someone else's work you get points depending on the length of your post. The maximum amount of points you can get for one review is 50.

When you post your own work it costs you 150 points and at the same time you GET 50 points for posting. So it evens out to you spending 100 points.

At the end of every two weeks everyone's points are reset to 300.
