Oh, I got a good, or should I say, really bad one:

Write a creative essay about your hair, how does it reflect your personality?

uh, it's blonde, and it's long, and it's straight. end of story. dumb prompt. keep in mind, this is an 8th grade prompt, we're going into high school, and they give us stuff like this.
On a scale of 1 to Random, I'm pretty ADHD.

About two weeks ago, the school sent us to our high school of choice for some sort of a welcome thing. We had to choose a class we'd like to sample, I chose Creative Writing (no idea why they even put this on there, you can't take the class until grade 11, same with philosophy, which was my second choice). They gave us a piece of paper saying "Write about your room in a cheerful way." and once we were finished that we had to write about it in an 'emo' way.

The teacher actually used the word 'emo'.

Another prompt I hate are those way-too-generic ones, like: WRITE ABOUT AN ANIMAL, and there's no information what so ever. I think I got a C on that assignment, because I wrote fiction and the teacher wanted nonfiction.

I once got a writing prompt that actaully said," Write about the people in your life in a 'cheerful' mood."
What is 'Cheerful'?
Is it that I have to be really happy while writing what I think about them?
A person's heart is like a painting.
Because it's fragile, yet it bring's the greatest emotions to you.

Gah. I'm in 7th grade, and they're still giving us 'Should schools have uniforms?' and 'Should candy be allowed in school?'. We've done the same ones for the past like, three years. Everyone writes the same thing, too. Must suck to grade.
no second thoughts, the knife is nearing
you'll never hear the little pitter patter pitter patter

Probaly the worst writing assignment is the classic "What do You do Over Your Summer Vacation" essay. It annoying, hackneyed, and uncreative.

I think that was when I began to realize that reputation isn't everything. I should focus less about how others perceive me and more about what makes me happy. Because, in the end, I have to live with myself.
