Hesione was puzzled. What should she bargin for? Likely, the Greeks would just take the armor and run. Then it came to her. And it scared her. But she couldn't protect Troy on her own, and Troy needed a strong protector. "I will give you the armor if you will swear to me this one thing." "And what would that be?" he asked. "Come with me to Mount Ida. There you must take up the Ritual. Do this, and you will gain your fathers armor and more." She looked at him. Deltax was staring at Achilles armor, deep in thought. "Fine." he said. "I swear it by Zeus." Hesione smiled. Glancing at Pelop, she winked. "Oh, and it would also be nice if you freed my cousin from your camp." Deltax glared at her. "Alright. But don't push me. Your bargining chip will only go so far." She nodded. "Come!" she said. As she led him out of the temple, and out a back way to the sacred path that led up to the mountains summit temple, she could hardly wait to see his reaction when he saw how many Trojans would be there.
For the record, Deltax and Hesione are alone. I already have something in mind for the Ritual, so we are covered there. If Grave and Pelop could run into each other, that would be great. Thanks!

Deltax sighed a little to himself - this was not even close to how he had wanted his journey to Troy to go. Nevertheless, his father's armour...While it hadn't been the suit that had been crafted by the gods, it was nonetheless something he had to win back. He just hoped she'd realise that she wouldn't be able to hold it over him forever. As soon as he saw a good reason to turn on them, especially if it involved the children of Paris, then turn he would.
He saw Trojans beginning to converge on the path with them, and his hand went immediately to his sword. Whether or not he was here by invitation, it would be a long time before he would trust the Trojans. He slid the sword half out, he would not underestimate them either.

Hesione bowed her head before an older woman. "Lady Briseis, I bring you Deltax, son of Achilles. He wishes to try for the Ritual." A uneasy mummur ran through the crowd. Briseis raised a hand, and the mummuring stopped. "That will not be nessecary." she said to Deltax. Hesione looked back at him. His hand gripped his sword, ready to draw. He nodded, but his hand remained in place. "Acteon!" called Briseis. A priest came up to her and bowed. "Prepare our guest for the Ritual. I will prepare the princess." Acteon nodded. A group of priestesses gathered around Hesione as a group of priests gathered around Deltax. he scowled at Hesione. "What Trojan trick is this?!" he asked angrily. "I'll explain it to you later!" she hissed. briseis turned to the crowd. "Come!", she commanded, "We must make ready!" She nodded to Acteon. He and the priests led a struggling Deltax to a grove. Briseis turned to Hesione. "Come my queen. The Ritual will soon begin." And she and the other priestesses led her off in the oppisite direction.

As soon as the priests had dragged him into the grove and released him, he drew his sword and leveled it at them, turning a slow circle to make sure none of them could sneak up on him. A few of them drew weapons of their own, but Acteon held up one hand, "There's no need for this, son of Achilles."
Deltax shot him a glare, "Someone is going to explain to me what exactly this 'Ritual' is, and then I'm going to decide if its worth my father's armour."
Acteon shook his head, "There's no time for explanations, the other Greeks-"
"Have not even been contacted yet! My messenger left less than a week ago. You have the time, and you will explain it to me. Otherwise I will simply return to my soldiers and await the arrival of the rest of our armies. Then I will take my father's armour by force. Do not think for a second that I'm not capable of fighting my way out of here."

Hesione let the priestesses led to to a pool. "Get in child." said Briseis. Hesione nodded. The water was icy, and she gasped when she got in. After bathing, Briseis shooed off the other priestesses. Wrapping her in a white gown, she seated her on a stone bench, and gave her a glass of something. the drink made Hesione feel dizzy and muddled. "You know that the Ritual also acts as your coronation, don't you?" Briseis said. Hesione nodded. "Well, one thing that you may not know is that the Ritual also acts as a fertility rite. After the Greeks soul in bound, and he recieves the sacred marks upon his wrists, one of the warriors and you will consumate your marriage to the land. This will be your official coronation." Both of their heads turned as the drums began to pound. "The Ritual is begining. I must go and speak to Acteon." Briseis turned and picked up a garlanded veil. Placing it on Hesione's head, she nodded and then left.
Briseis-
Acteon waited for her outside the grove. "Did you give him the drink?" He nodded. "Good. Neither of them will no each other, and once they do, it will be done." Briseis smiled. "Just think of it Acteon! A member of the bloodline of Achilles!" A horn sounded. "Let us hope he will not scream to much when his soul is ripped out!" Acteon grinned. "Nor when he finds out who will play the part of the Bride ehh?" he said. They laughed, and took their places.

The Greek sat up, groaning as he clutched at his head. The drink the priests had given him must have been something strong, but then, it was meant to be connecting him to the Trojan spirits.
They'd given him the way out. As soon as the daughter of Hector had a child, and the bloodline was guaranteed to continue, he would be free. Given that they'd told him that her coronation, taking place at the same time, included the consummation of 'her marriage to the land', that wouldn't too long, or so it sounded. He couldn't remember much after that.
He looked around - the room was unfamiliar to him, though it had a royal look about it. Then he saw her, in his bed. He started, standing immediately and staring for a moment, disbelieving. The priests had tricked him! He reached for his sword: the morning was early yet, the Trojans would be sleeping. The Greeks would arrive to find every one of them dead by his hand.
Then he froze. If she died, he would never be free. He slumped down, unable to think of a way out. He would just have to hope the Greeks would take longer to arrive than he believed. But it was barely six weeks between Greece and Troy. The best he could hope for was maybe four months, if the Greeks all tried to assemble their armies in one place and they were delayed by storms on the way.

Hesione woke slowly, the drugs in from the drink making her groggy. she opened her eyes and saw him. "What in the gods names are you doing here?" she screamed. "I could ask you the same thing!" he growled, "But then, how like a Trojan to use trickery!" She glared at him. "I swear to, I had no idea. Briseis told me it would be with a warrior-." Realization came to her. "Oh, I am going to kill her for this! That scheming, uncaring hag!" deltax looked at her warily. "She planned for this to happen?" he aske incredulously. Hesione nodded. "She and her puppet Acteon. Hand me that robe." she said, pointing to her gown that had been discarded earlier. "I think we both have some questions for the High Priestess!"

So they'd tricked her too. That was a surprise, he'd believed that it they had all conspired together. He had already clothed himself, and tossed her the gown she'd been wearing the day before. A moment later he unsheathed his sword.
Hesione frowned at it, "Surely you're not thinking of killing Briseis and Acteon? I mean what they did was wrong, but..."
Deltax shook his head, "I'll kill them unless they can give me a good enough reason not to. Right now, the whole concept of alliance between me, and by extension my soldiers, and your people is on shaky ground. Whether or not you planned this."

ok sorry about not writing for a while. I had to finish summer school. Anyway, back to the story...
Hesione-
Hesione and Deltax stormed through the halls. Hesione was furious. How could Briseis do this to her? She shook her head clear of any thought. "Where is this Briseis witch of yours?" Deltax growled. "First of all, she's the High Priestess, not a witch. Second, if you'll follow me, I think I know where we can find her." They walked out into the garden. "Looking for me?" Briseis said, emerging from the shadows. Deltax reached for a sword that was not there. "It's so good to se the serpents worn again." she purred. Deltax rubbed his wrists, which Hesione noticed, were now tatooed with twining blue snakes. Briseis went on. "The last man to wear those was my cousin, Hector. Hesione was too small to remeber them." "Gods damnit Aunt! Why?" Hesione snapped at her. Briseis gave a cold, sarcastic, smile. "You ask why my Queen? I'll tell you why. Blood. Bloodlines and Revenge."
