A little bit of madness,
Never did anyone any harm.
But what if you flirt with insanity,
Flattered by it’s charm?

Then they’ll say you’re lost to the world,
Entertaining the ghosts of your own,
Chattering to the paranoid voices,
On an imaginary phone.

Shouting down an empty well,
Gazing at faces in a kiln,
The talk begins to swell,
There’s word of ‘doing something’
But you ask, why should something be done?

Because your happier like this, not letting those meddlers in,
So when you see them advancing, perhaps you’ll start to run,
And give the one’s with ‘good intentions’ a chase,
Which you’ve no doubt already won.
Yes, a little bit of madness, sometimes,
Can even be immensely fun.
We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars.

Haha thats a fun poem you've written here...
Was slightly confusing at places...

Y'kno I believe that every normal person is slightly insane. And if you're not then you're not then you're not normal.

That's why I loved this poem, its sort of celebrating insanity.
Reminds me of a conversation between my friend and I.

We are studying in my living room
Me: I'm bored
Lynn: Me too. *brightens up* I know lets throw away our books, Pull up our shirts and scream like Tarzan.
Me: You're crazy
Lynn: I know.
Me: Lets do it!

We didn't actually do it because my older brother walked in looking for something.

The point is I really, really liked your poem. And I can see that you understand how wonderful it is to sometimes go completely bonkers.
I'm a godmother, that's a great thing to be, a godmother. She calls me god for short, that's cute, I taught her that.

I like the idea of the poem, and the message but I felt that the rhyme and rhythm were sometimes a little disjointed; although this could work because you are demonstrating that little bit of madness.

This poem works well as a bit of fun and it made me smile, although I think the last stanza could use a little work as it looses all rhyme and even throws assonance out the window.

Keep writing and let me know if you make any changes.

Nice imagery!!! And a really a good job with the rhyming scheme, too. It's easy to see what you're talking about, and sometimes that's hard to do in dramatic poetry.

Poetry good as this is the reason why I don't post my own feeble attempts.
Your journey began before you manifested in physical form here on this planet and will not cease when that physical representation of yourself is no longer capable of interacting with this world.
