Here it is
I listened; every sound became a heartbeat. That beats along side every living thing in ‘the city’, becoming one single sound- the pipes pounding harder and harder, just as my heart does. A sense of emptiness fell upon my shaking body. It’s not right, being like this. Being apart of another thing. The bright lights below me shined neon colors across my pale emotionless face. It seemed almost dream-like staring at the lively streets below me, all of the people continuing their lives unknowing to the horrific presence of ‘the city’. What ‘the city’ truly was and what it was doing to all of its citizens- a truth among many lies that the ones who serve ‘the city’ tell the naive people living within the walls bordering ‘the city’, keeping us all trapped.
I breathed in a large amount of the cold night air; I could taste a little bit of car smog in my mouth. I held it in, hoping for the cold feeling of the air to stay in my lungs. But after only a few seconds I released it, and I watched my visible breath drift away till it vanished into the freezing nighttime sky. I felt like crying, but I held it in. The only way to stay hidden was to feel nothing; no joy, sadness, not even fear- I had to hurry, dread was starting to erupt from my trembling body.
Taking a deep breath, I stepped forward and off the ledge; the destruction of ‘the city’ has begun.

Background: She loves her mother very much. Her whole entire family disappeared one after another. Only her mother disappeared when Crimson was alive.
