I want to leave a red hot burning brand on the world,
I want to sit in Heaven watching the earth be twirled,
I want to make a giant tattoo on the ass of history,
I want to make front page news, the leading story.

I'll have a big old hat, twice the size of my head,
I'll make more money than I could ever spend,
I'll eat only the finest foods they've got around,
and I'll never let my own feet grace the ground.

I'm going to live like royalty or a star at least,
They'll make me an idol and call me a priest,
Fanatics will adore me, and see me and go wild,
And smoke cocaine like an old flower child.

And when I die, I'll go out with a bang,
one last hurrah before the fat lady sang,
while I'm old and wrinkly, an annoying old coot,
I'll fly an airplane and while in my very best suit,

I'll fall to my death, rushing through the air,
while the whipping breeze will screw up my hair,
As the Earth'll come closer, I'll dream of more fame,
and when I hit the ground, I'll burst into red flame,

The fanatics will cry, and of course the reporters will write,
and my face will be everywhere to my post-mortem delight,
Ill leave my brand on the scorched blackened ground,
and tattoo my face to every mind that I'll have found,
This way...when I'm gone, I'll still be around.

Wow. This was amazing.

I loved the irreverent tone throughout the entire poem. It conjured up such a vivid image of the speaker.

I really have nothing more to say. This was such a fantastic piece of work. Great, great job.

Loved it!
I could totally imagine the whole scene and everything!
Loved the rhyming and that jazz, but the inly thing that I didn't like the fact that you used the word "ass". I think that your smarter than that and you can use better language.
Other than that i liked it a lot!

Good, I enjoyed this! Your rhyme was natural and the flow was good. Also the subject was entertaining and dealt with in an original way.
The only flaws I could find were that in parts it was kind of overdone and obvious, particularly the last line. I found that pretty unnecessary.
Also, I liked your tense, it lent a good atmosphere to everything, but in parts it fell down, like
As the Earth'll come closer, I'll dream of more fame,

should be "As the Earth comes closer..." and there are more, but I wont bore you with a list! Anyway overall nice job!

Nothing that I will try to fix, I am too stunned to see anything wrong.

GryphonFledgling: Thank you. That's what I was going for, I'm glad it came across that way.

Shanan-cat: Thanks. I understand where you're coming from when you say that I could have used another word instead of "ass", but I used it because, it went with the (Using Gryphon's word here) irreverent theme. Thanks for the input though!

Liz: Thank you. I'll check back through and try to change some of that.

TheD2: *blushes* Thanks. Haha, Justin Timberlake? Hehe. I'm glad you enjoyed it. :D
