Something a wee bit personal

I wrote a small biography about a couple of years ago. Although, a lot of things have changed since then and I thought it wouldn't do any harm to give a more updated version.

I've been a member of this site for over two years. I joined the Young Writers Society when I was thirteen. I had an amazing imagination, yet I found it difficult to write it down. I made a lot of friends on this site. I became popular, but as I became older, my interests for this site deteriorated, and my visits became less frequent.

I've fallen in love, I've cheated, and I have had my heart broken. All at the tender age of 14/15. Many say I was too young to fall in love, but I felt for him was real. I couldn't deal with the separation, and became depressed, and began having issues with my body. For months I struggled, I came back to the site, and I tried to be a part of it, yet I was so wrapped up in my own problems I didn't play a very good part in the community.

I'm not perfect, probably one of the least perfect on this site. I drink and I smoke and yet I'm only 16. Many think I'm messed up, and confused. Where I live, it is common for these things to happen. And it was a shame that I was brought into this type of society. Sometimes I enjoy it, and other times I regret it.

But it's my life, I don't need help, because I'm not an alcoholic and I'm not a drug abuser. It bothers me when people on this site, or people who are incredibly sheltered judge me for my lifestyle. Because I'm not a bad person, in fact I'm one of the nicest. A lot of people don't realise how much I have struggled to find my place in Scotland, for people to accept me. I've been bullied, called names, threatened to even get killed because I was born in England.

I would say the thing which has stayed with me since I was a little girl was my love for art. No matter how hard things have become, or how much everything has changed - I have enjoyed painting. I know I'm not the best, but I know I am good. Many say my work is expressive, as I put my feelings into it, which is obviously noticeable.

For those who know me, will say I am a very fun person. I take the mick out of myself often. People do enjoy hanging out with me. I've been told I'm extremely random. I think way too much into things, things that make no sense. Even on this site I've been liked. For those who don't know me, hopefully you will like me too, and not judge me on the way I live, but by the way I am.

No matter how much life changes - there are some things that don't. For instance; my favourite chocolate is still a twix and my love for yellow is stronger than ever. Haha.

So aye, maybe a little more personal than some, but why make yourself out to be something perfect when you really aren't?

Hey there Emma, I must admit that I've frequented your blog once or twice in the last month or so (cos I'm a total stalker) and you sound like a really kind, interesting person and I'll not discriminate against you because of how you was brought up or what you've been through.

Perhaps we'll have a chance to chat some time and until then, it was pleasant reading something you've written and actually replying for once. Lol.

See you around,

Heather xx

I know how you feel, sort of. Maybe not. But at least I can -what was that word?- oh yeah, empathize. My cousin's about your age, and he's what the less sensitive people at my !@#$@# exclusive, overrated private school call a druggie. But we've learned a little bit, and the answer is- you know what? Lead your life, and get over whatever happened first. Because no one, not even you, knows what's gonna happen next!
me: why can we kill for Jesus and not Muhammed?
my best friend: because Jesus is white.
me: that's not fair!
her: and what is?

Hey Emma, I just wanted to comment because I feel for you here. I won't say I'm an alcoholic but possibly it is borderline overboard consumption, I'm not sure. I also enjoy experimenting. And I just recently was dumped because of it. My best friends, who I know for a fact are amazing, good hearted people, do drugs and drink more than the average person. I hate that people who do things like that or have done those things get labeled as "bad people"!

So I just wanted to say that I respect the honesty and your confidence is admirable!

Hello, Emma. I've seen your posts on the site every so often, but have never had the chance to actually get to know you. I don't think anyone has the right to judge others, like what it says in my signature. I think the reason every person is different is so that we can learn from each other, so we can grow. I really hope I can get to know you better and see some of your art.

Mike
