This is one of the first songs I ever lyrically wrote. I have most of the music written and have been working on recording it for some while. Let me know what you think!

Could you imagine waking to the sound of a gun
Heard so Fast that you can't even think to run
Waking again to a sudden pain you tried to Deny
Thought it was a dream, or maybe you were High
So shaken did you see the blood on the rug
A pain your Ibuprofen can't seem to shrug
Reminds your conscious of that break you meant to do
A relationship you were forced to unplug

Swallow the Wine
Don't wait till after you dine
Escape from hell right now
Drink up leave the table with a bow
Blood Wine's The Sweeter Novocaine

Did you think that Gun Was a Lie
That you couldn't come so close to die
Maybe you should leave to never be outdone
From this Pain You want to be Shun
Your becoming Drowsy from the gas
Look to your right, see lost loves in the Grass
Reminds your conscious that you made that break
Even in Sleep the thought your mind can't surpass

Did you Think That Grass was there to stay
An image your mind began to convey
Escape from hell right now
Drink up leave the table with a bow
Blood Wine's The Sweeter Novocaine

Rushing Blood
Falls On the Hills
Wake, Wake
Don't Break
Go back
Set another Course
The Door To the Past is there
Travel Back

Did you think
That Gas was a Lie
That You Couldn't Come so Close to Die
Swallow the Wine
Don't wait till' after you dine
Escape from hell right now
Drink up leave the table with a bow
Blood Wine's The Sweeter Novocaine

Could you imagine waking to the sound of a gun
From this Pain You want to be Shun

Genious!

Just wondering, is it ment to be read slow?

Hey! Thanks for saying so! I must say, I never put any thought as to the pace it was meant to be read. I personally do read it slow, though, for what it's worth.

I liked it, it was origional and interesting, and would probably go in with the music I listen to (Blue October mostly) but I did notice a few things wrong about it. Some of the rhyming seemed forced in some spots but wonderful in the other.
I just lost the game.

I have been impressed with the urgency of doing. Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Being willing is not enough; we must do.
