Rejection
I took my place in the music room. And I sit there waiting for him. He comes in as usual. So casual and yet a look of indifference on his face. Yet there is something different today. He glances my way making my heart do a flip-flop. No hey, or even an acknowledgment. Just a glance. What did I do so wrong the night before? Did I interfere in his personal space? Why am I getting the silent treatment? All I did was ask a question. A simple question. And yet today you treat me like I’m inhuman. I felt like crying. But if I cried I would be a weakness. A shallow girl that people don’t give a damn about. Even when it comes to feelings. No one give’s a damn! But I have set a goal. I will show you that I’m not a shallow girl. I’m a girl with feelings that run so deep, it’s impossible to let go. A girl that has goals to become the best person she can be. A girl that doesn’t go for looks but personality and a heart that would care about my feelings. And all of this started because I asked you out. And you were too shallow to reply. I’ll do better next time. And I WILL show you! But for today, my goal is not to cry.
Because rejection’s a bitch!
