Here I turn to fantasy,
For I have no want for reality,
Keep them well,
These dreams of hell,
And heaven and what comes after,
These are merely lies,
And empty sighs,
Of lives that found no laughter.
Here I turn to fantasy,
At the crossroads of silk,
Of the fork that divides,
My dreams from my reason.
I am the lost standard,
I am the Diamond Banner.
The burden I carry, flutters in the gust,
The road that i take, I take for I must.
The Diamond in the sky, it flutters nigh and nigh,
But I am the lost banner boy,
I am the defeated king,
My victory is a fall of a thousand comets,
My victory is not more than disaster.
I rule from a defeated kingdom,
I rule with quenching fire.
Do not stare at the banner, child,
That inspired a hundred legions,
It is no more my proud jewel,
I am the Diamond Banner,
A dreaming king of old,
Go forth for the new order,
And be a warrior bold,
Leave the empty throne behind,
Leave it all to ruin,
Let the cycles cleanse the blind,
Let the time come anew,
Then the Banner shall fly again,
With all the legions behind.
